In this tutorial, the presenter explains how schools can use social media to showcase the experience of attending their institution for both current and prospective families. The core advice includes posting carousel images that capture memorable events such as a school trip to the Eden Project, highlighting happy students to convey the enjoyable learning environment. The speaker stresses the importance of regularly sharing diverse visual content to raise awareness. A key strategy is to create a dedicated engagement group—comprising local clubs, community organisations, businesses, and suppliers—or to use local hashtags, allowing the school to monitor and interact with relevant posts. By commenting, liking, and resharing these posts, schools foster two‑way conversations and increase overall engagement. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action inviting viewers to click the blue help button for further assistance.

Today we're looking at how you can show the experience of being at your school on social media. This is extra school and they use their social media as, I guess, a way of engaging with existing parents and also with any prospective parents who are interested in sending their kids to their school. So really it is all about the experience. You know, what will the kids experience when they're there? What would the parents experience be? So this post here is great. So this is them showing that the upper two had an exciting day exploring the Eden Project yesterday, learning all about plants and the planet. And it shows a really lovely mix of all the kids having a great time at the Eden Project, which of course is something that, you know, most people would. Would thoroughly enjoy, love being at, but equally not something that everybody can do. So the fact that they get to go to that on a school trip and they're using a kind of carousel of IM images to show all the different types of kids how much they're enjoying it. They all look really happy. It's a really good way of just showing what, I guess, you know that your experience would be if we came to your school or if you sent your child there. So just always make sure that you're sharing the images of the. Lots of different little things, I guess, that you guys do on social media because it really does help drive awareness. Now, if I was extra school, one of the things I'd want to do is I might want to create a group or of, I guess it might be local clubs, at community clubs, I could engage with that, you know, that maybe have some kind of affiliation with the school. It might be with local businesses, it might be with any suppliers, but it just means that you've got, you know, a bunch of people that you can regularly engage with on social media. So I would go to maybe go to Engagement Engage and then group, and then basically you would click on the ones that you would like to engage with. So you would create the group. So you add them all in here and it can either be that or hashtags. It might actually be local hashtags. They do. And then they would just click the button and then what would start coming up is basically all of the social media posts for the businesses or the places or the community groups or the hashtags that they had selected. And then they can start going in and commenting, liking. They can even recreate some of the posts. But it just means that they've got a regular group of people that they want to engage with to drive more awareness of what they do back to them, it gets their engagement up and it also starts to create a bit more of a two way conversation as well. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
