How to do a good call to action on social media

Facebook works better than Instagram for driving traffic to the NSC magazine because you can put clickable links directly in captions. Post the cover image with a link every month, and build a dedicated Facebook group for steel-construction businesses to engage members and keep them coming back.

Today we're looking at how to do a good call to action on social media. This is the steel construction information. So it's a free encyclopedia for UK steel construction and it is maintained by the various different services here. And basically what we do is they pull together lots of information and advice for any organisations within the steel construction industry and they, they actually use Facebook mainly to do a big push on their magazine. So here their most popular posts are always their monthly magazine and the image is always the same. So the image is always the front cover. As you can see there's a few here, the image is always the front cover, which really gives you, I guess, you know, an insight into what you're going to be getting. And the caption always has a link giving direct access to the, to the magazine online. So here you can see straight away it's April edition of NSC magazine now available. To read online line here, click again here. So sometimes it is just about being simple and making sure that you always have a link in. Now obviously you can't do this on Instagram. You can look at this on Facebook and Instagram you would have to say something like link in the bio or it might be you put the link in but obviously you can't hyperlink to it. So that's why Facebook is so good when it comes to getting a good call to action. If you want someone to actually leave Facebook to go and do a thing on your website, it's a really good place to start. Now if I was these guys, one of the things I'd want to do is maybe create a group of all of the construction or steel construction businesses that I know so I can make sure I'm engaged with them, to make sure that maybe anytime that I do a post I then going to do a bit of engagement to drive more of them back to me so that then they may be going and read the magazine. So I would create a group in here. So in here you can add in as many business as you like. In there you would then click on the group. So say it was steel construction industry businesses, you would click there and then all of their businesses, posts that they've done recently would all start coming up and then what they can start to do is they can like them, they can comment on them, they can recreate the post and it just means that you know, you're consistently showing up, you're always supporting your members, you're always supporting anybody within the industry and it means that people are much more likely to come back to you and once they've seen you, they go, oh, right, okay. They. They must have been your magazine. And they'll go and check you out. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. They'd love to.
