How to get targeted with reels

A fitness coach branded as "fitness dad" uses Instagram Reels to reach busy parents by posting himself training with his daughter and asking why they skip self-care. The strategy combines relatable captions, hashtags like #fitdad, tagging gyms and protein brands, and engaging with similar accounts to build credibility and expand reach.

Foreign. Today we're looking at how to get super targeted with reels. Now, reels are an amazing way of showing all different aspects of a business, whether it is, you know, I guess the human side of the business or whether it's more of a kind of view into, you know, obviously a sort of shop window idea. Now, as a coach, one of the things that the fitness dad has to do is to obviously, you know, like appeal to a certain type of customer. So they need to understand their niche, they need to understand who their customers are. And as he is literally called himself the fitness dad, the likelihood is he would want to attract other parents and other people, I guess, who are, you know, who are parents and, you know, and he can, I guess, show them that he relates to them. Now what he's done here is create a little reel of his little girl. Let's have a look at it.
Always go back to your habit. So you've got to have habits, rituals and routines that serve you. The next thing is this. You better think about something huge that you want to do with your life, that grips your heart, that makes you want to get out of bed every single morning. That's massive and it should be right now. Whatever just occurred to you, it's bigger than that, it's bigger than that. And make it big because that's going to be the compelling vision of your life. It's going to get you moving. You're going to be your habits and rituals. You better get a habit and a routine and rituals that serve you. Because if you show me what you're going to do because here, so as.
You can see here, that is what he's done is he's shown all aspects of his day to day life. So aiming directly at mums and dads that want to train or lose weight and have more time for themselves. So I love, I guess is that the real show is him training. It shows his kids working out with him and family life. And the quote at the beginning really hits home to most parents and that, you know, you actually have to take care of yourself first. You know, the kids are ultimately watching that kind of thing. So he really is addressing, I guess, you know, the elephant in the room, if you like, in terms of, you know, that parents generally don't have time to look after themselves. And he's almost giving them their permission to do that. And then the real is then further backed up by the really lovely caption which explains, you know, I guess you know that when what do you value? What are your life values? Your kids come first a bit. And why aren't you looking after yourself as well? Because they directly benefit from looking after you. So he's speaking to their pain points. So he's really using the real, as I guess, of really capturing people's emotions and showing, I guess, you know, through family life and through the caption how he can, you know, he's effectively really targeting his target market. That's what he's doing. He's talking directly through the lens of the camera to that mum or dad who's sitting there not quite sure about whether to take the plunge and go with him or not. Now, if I was him, one of the things that I'd be doing is trying to understand more about, I guess, you know, like how my content's working for me. But the other thing I'd want to do is to also get some inspiration. I would want to get some inspiration from people, other people within, I guess, my industry. So what I would do is I would add in some hashtags here. So you can add in hashtags that's maybe so hashtag fitness or hashtag fit paid and that kind of thing. But also you can add in businesses. So you could literally click in here and you could choose to add in a little group. So here you could choose, you know, like a group of gyms, for example. You might choose maybe protein, protein brands to follow. And what that does is it gives you content. So here what would come up is all of the content. So here, for example, is my protein. It would come up with some content. Now it might be that that particular protein bar, for example, would be interesting to his clients. So he can literally go in, engage with it to get more of their followers to engage with him. But then what you can also do is recreate the post. You can take that post and use it and, and tag in the brand and, you know, basically use it to kind of generate a bit of value as well for his clients. So it not only gets new eyes on his feeds and it gives him inspiration and helps him understand, you know, how his social media is working. It also means that he can actually add more value through other brands content to his customers. Now, as always, if you've got any questions, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
