In this concise tutorial, the presenter walks viewers through the entire process of creating a Google Business Profile for businesses that operate online or provide home delivery and therefore lack a customer‑facing storefront. The steps include: accessing the Google Business profile creation page, entering the business name and selecting an appropriate category, explicitly opting out of a public location, defining one or more service areas, providing a contact phone number for verification, optionally adding a website, supplying a mailing address (used only for verification and never displayed publicly), choosing a verification method (phone call, text, or mail), entering the verification code, and finally accessing the newly created profile to edit and update it as needed. Throughout, the speaker emphasizes that the mailing address is hidden, that PO boxes are not accepted, and that phone‑based verification is the quickest route.

Foreign. So here's a super quick video on how you can create a Google My business profile if you don't have a physical location or office. So this is perfect for businesses who maybe operate specifically online or maybe you do home deliveries for example. So first things first, if you quickly just point to Google, sort of create Google My business, then we can click on to the Google Business profile. This is the first page and essentially this is where we'll double check if there isn't actually currently a profile or not. So obviously in here you're just wanting to put in your own business name. Now it will bring up ones that it thinks may be similar to yours in case you do have a listing. But in this case we'll assume that there is no listing currently. And so once you've put in your business name, we can put add your business to Google. From here we just need to put in the name of our business and a business category. So obviously fill these in based on what's relevant to your business. In terms of the business category. Just try and choose the overarching topic. For now, as you start typing in what you might be doing, it will give you suggestions as well. So this is the big important part where we really need to make a difference from a normal Google My business profile for a store compared to an online business. So this is just asking us do we want to add a location that customers can visit. In this case we're going to say no. So then we'll click next. Now this is the important part. It asks essentially where are your service areas? So maybe you've got a specific town or city, maybe you do a accountate or maybe you are kind of worldwide or you know, nationwide. So in this you, you can put in whichever ones you want. So for example, I'm just going to put in Sheffield in this one. It'll obviously give us an option. So we just need to choose the correct location and as I say, you can add as many as you want into there. Next it's just going to ask us for a contact phone number. So do make sure that you put in your correct number just because they will use this to try and verify your business. It doesn't have to be the one that shows on your profile kind of at the end of everything, but it is one that they will use for verification purposes. So make sure the number that you add in you do have access to. Now you can also add a current website URL if you've got one or if you don't have a website, you can just click the tick box for I don't have a website. Now one thing that it will do, and this can sometimes throw people off, is it will ask for a mailing address to verify. So this isn't actually what will show on the profile. This again is just a way that Google's going to try and verify your business information. So you can't use post office boxes or PO Boxes in this one, but they don't actually send anything to your address either. So this is where we can kind of put in the address. Usually you just put in your home address or if you do have an office, but you obviously don't accept people to come around to it, you can also add that in. So I'm just quickly going to enter in a random address in this case just so I'm not putting my address on there and entered all of this information. What we can do is we can click next and it gives you a way to choose to verify. So as I say, they won't actually send out anything in the post. So you can use the number, which is why it's important. And depending on which one you prefer, you can get a call or a text. There are more options. So you can do it by mail, but obviously in this case it's a lot quicker and easier to do it through a phone number. So that's pretty much it. What I won't do is continue now just because if I did continue, it's going to ask me to verify. But essentially once you've got that text and you can or the phone call, you click call or text. It'll take you through to another screen. You'll get a code through text or through call, whichever one you decide. And once you enter that code, then essentially you just click verify and it will start loading up your profile and, and from that point on you can go through and just update your profile however you see fit. So it's as simple as that. As I said, don't worry about the masking for a mailing address that's not going to show on your profile. And yeah, that's pretty much how you can set up a Google My business profile without a physical location.
