Okay, let's create a Facebook page. So I have come to my Facebook homepage. Familiar territory hopefully for many of us. And on the left hand side I have a menu appear. And because I already have Pages linked to my account, I have a Pages button here on the left hand side. If you don't have that on your Facebook page, do not fret because what we're going to do is we're going to come over here to the right hand side and click on this menu in the top right hand corner you see there is a circle with a grid of nine dots in it that opens up a menu. And in this top section so social, we have elements that you can create and we're going to go to Pages here. So let's click Pages and that will take us to a new page. So once you have created your page, you'll find it here in this section and it will appear under Pages you manage. It will also appear in the left hand side of this page. And if you have more than one page attributed to your account, you'll be able to scroll through them here. So we're going to click on create new page at the bottom of this top section here and it will take us to create a page. So I'm going to start typing a page name. This isn't going to be the URL name, this is going to be the page name that appears when people find your page and open it. So, and that has it. I'm just going to take out the asterisk because Facebook isn't very keen on the asterisk and if I try and create a page with the maybe asterisk it won't like it. The next bit is the category. So try and find a category that suits your business. I'm going to click here on software company. So because there is a drop down menu that appears, you should be able to find something that either matches it exactly or is a very close match. Again, this is for the purposes of people being able to find you with ease and understand what your business is about. The next section is a description and that will appear here down the bottom of this preview. I'm only going to write a really, really short thing here for the purposes of this video. Please do add more information when you're creating your own page. Very important because again it's all about understanding what you're about and why people should interact with your page. So let's hit Create Page. Whilst Facebook ponders. We shall wait. Let's really having a little think about it. Sometimes it takes a little while, but don't worry. Hooray, it's created now. Can you see that? I've now got more options here, more information to add in this left hand side because previously the screen stopped with the description. Now we can add in a profile picture. Let's do that. I'm just going to, okay, screw into my folder, but I put in a profile picture. It's a really good idea to, as soon as you've created your page, to put in some images. So you've got a profile picture in place and you've got a cover, just so that as soon as it is live on the Facebook site, your branding is there. People know it's not a Duff page, it's a genuine page that they can start interacting with. So I've got images uploaded and we're going to hit save and again we shall ponder. Here we go. You're now interacting with how to with maybe we have created our Facebook page. So in the next little bit here we're going to sort out our URL. But before all of that, here we are. This is. You will see this pop up because Facebook wants you to use WhatsApp. They are all connected under meta, as we know. For the purposes of this, of this video, we're not going to connect to WhatsApp, but you will have the option to do that at a later date. And let's say another screen is going to come. You can go to WhatsApp in your page settings to connect your WhatsApp account at any time. They're very keen that you do this, so they want to make it easy for you to do that. But for now we're just going to leave. There will be subsequent videos for adding in these elements, like WhatsApp and Instagram. So don't fret, we've got you covered on that score too. But we're going to leave now. The next bit we need to do is create a username. Can you see how it's a blue hyperlink here. Create at username. This again is to help people find you. If you can see at the top of my screen the URL, it's got how dash to dash, with dash, maybe dash and then a host of images. It's not easy and people can't type you very easily. So creating a username is really the best thing. And also it helps you look like a cohesive business. You can match your usernames to your other accounts as well to just kind of create that cohesion between all the accounts. And it Just makes you look very put together. So I am going to. I know this is quite a convoluted one. Bear with me, because I want to. Hopefully this will work. So what I'm going to do is type in a username. I have used capital letters because Facebook is quite fond of capital letters and it does keep them in the URL. It's just helpful from an accessibility point of view when you're reading people's usernames again, like we do with hashtags, for example. So I'm just going to click off there and see if it likes it. It does. We have a lovely green tip. The next thing you want to do, just before you hit Create username name, check that everything is spelled correctly. How to do social with maybe. How to do social with me. It is all good. So I'm going to create username now and again. We shall ponder for just a moment whilst Facebook does all that. And here we are. You're all set. The username how to do social with maybe has been created for the new page and it even says it there. It's now easier for people to find your page in search. So we're going to hit done. And that is our page all set up. And see. I'm just refreshing the page so that you can see now in the address bar, it's how to do social with maybe has appeared and it's all been set up. So, as you said in subsequent videos, we're going to show you how to connect your Instagram to Facebook and other elements that you'll need, and also creating posts and interacting with people. But we're going to end this video here. I hope that was helpful. Please do ask us any questions at all in your maybe browser. Hit the blue button. But I hope that was useful and.
