How to show off your place using local photography

Pendley Manor in Tring uses photos from local photographers and guests to market weddings, conferences, and afternoon tea. Tag the photographers, credit them properly, and repost across Instagram and Facebook to drive bookings.

Today we're looking at how to show off your place using local photography. Now this is Penley Manor and they are a country retreat used for leisure breaks but also used for things like weddings and conferences. And they're based in Tring and as you can see here, they need a lot of photography because ideally, you know, they need to really show off their place to at their best if they're going to attract, you know, big bookings like a wedding or a conference or indeed if you want to go and stay there. And what they've done here is they've used local photographers. So it's people, I guess who have come in to take pictures for maybe an event, maybe a wedding and they have then tagged in Pendley manner into the photo and then they have just repurposed it and reused the content. So what I love is that they can really use, I guess it's almost like user generated content, isn't it? You know, they can really use local photography, local people who have taken, you know, stunning, stunning pictures and to show off, you know, like how stunning the place is. And of course they give photo credit as well. I would have actually tried to tag them in if there was a way of doing it and it might have been that what they've done is tried to do that on Instagram and then it's not come over into Facebook. So if you are tagging, you've got to make sure that you are tagging in the right Facebook account and the right Instagram account because they're not always the same. But it's really good because you're using the image, you are crediting the photographer and then you're driving people to want to book say an afternoon tea or again here, the same. You might want to attract people to come down and just look at the grounds and then here they're going to, going to do the same thing to attract people to book a Mother's Day. So this for me is all about showing off your place using local photography.
