How to show off your team on social media

Mooch and Ealing, a boutique brand, saw higher engagement posting photos of their whole team having fun in the shop than they did with product posts. A team photo extends your shop window online, shows you're open, and makes customers feel invited to visit. People buy from people.

Foreign. Show off your team on social media to connect more with your audience. This is Mooch and Ealing, and as you can see, they're a really cool brand. And what I love is that they, you know, they post quite a lot, you know, about their gorgeous products, of course, but what I really like about this one is that this is them. You know, it's all about the team and community spirit and it's, I guess, an alternative way of talking to people about their opening hours. So the post itself is the team all in their, know their glory, if you like, in the shop. And you can see here it is them showcasing just how much of a giggle they're all having in the shop itself. And it's a real lovely mix of different types of people. And I think it just really, I guess it's the whole point of social media is it's all about extending your shop window. So what, where, you know, I might not walk past your shop window all the time, it means that, you know, by showcasing, I guess, you know, your team and who you are and what you're all about, and showing, I guess, how much fun everyone's having, particularly over that season, means that I'm much more likely to feel invited, if you like down to come in and actually have a little mooch, quite literally around the shop. So it's all about, yes, reminding customers that they're open and what time to and all that kind of thing. But actually they're doing it in a really engaging way by saying, come on down, guys, we're all here, we're all having a laugh, we're all enjoying enjoying ourselves and we want to have a laugh with you guys as well, which I think is something that's really important and sometimes gets missed on social media. And as you can see, they got a lot more engagement on this post than quite a lot of their other ones. So I think it shows that this is an absolute winner and that if you know that something like that is working and you know, something like this, where they're saying they've got the dream team and actually showcasing that dream team, it also feels really personal as well, because guess what, people buy from people.
