In this presentation, the speaker explains how businesses can reveal the people behind their brand on social media by sharing authentic, value‑aligned stories of employee involvement in charitable activities. Using Castle Water’s five‑year sponsorship of the Catarinium for the Soldiers charity as a case study, the talk highlights how the company not only supplied water stations for a 54‑mile route but also had staff like Kevin McIntyre personally run the course, raise funds, and achieve a notable placement. The speaker argues that such genuine participation demonstrates the company’s mission, builds credibility, and differentiates it from faceless corporate sponsors. To amplify this human side, the speaker recommends creating social‑media groups that aggregate clients, partners, and charities, then actively engaging with their posts through likes, comments, and shares. This ongoing interaction nurtures relationships, encourages reciprocal sharing, generates referrals, and improves online reviews. The overall message is that aligning sponsorship with core business values and consistently showcasing employee stories creates a trustworthy, relatable brand presence online.

Today we're looking at how to show the people behind the business on social media. This is Castle Water official and they provide things like water stations etc for various events as well as for corporate businesses and all around the world. And we of the things that they have done here is they have provided a sort of sponsorship package for the catarinium for the soldiers charity. And it Sundays for the fifth year running, the sponsor of this event they provided the fresh drinking water stations on the 54 mile route. And this shows that they also provided the water as well for the showers. But what they've done here is they've gone into detail about how Kevin McIntyre, who's the person in this picture here, how he actually took part in doing the 54 mil routes, which is incredible. He said he actually raised some money and it shows that he did it in the best time, which means that he's also done it before and he came in 35th place. So this isn't some faceless company. This is a company that's actually saying not only do we sponsor by providing X and Y, we actually take part and we raise money as part of it. So there's multiple facets to this and I think what's really, really good is it's, it's about showing the people behind the sponsorship. So a lot of the time it's easy for companies just to throw money at something. This isn't, this is actually providing something that is relevant to what the company is all about and what it stands for. And equally it is about showing the people behind the business actually physically getting involved and equally raising money as well. Now if I was these guys, one of the things that I would want to do is maybe create a group on maybe of businesses that I could engage with. So it might be, maybe the clients that I serve, it might be business, the different charities maybe that we look after. So I would go into maybe and I would add them all in and then basically what you would do is tick the various groups and then here what you would see is all of their latest posts. Now the reason why you would do this is so that they could say it was some of their clients, they could go in and they could like some of their posts, they could comment on them, they might even share them. And what that does is it means that the clients feel loved, the clients feel care for. It means that you're constantly coming up in the client's conversation and you never know. You might get some new clients out of it as well, but it means that you are consistently looking after after your clients, you are showing them some love on social media and they in turn are more likely to share you and again, much more likely to give you better reviews. And because it's just an all round good customer service now, as always, if you've got any questions, click on the little button. We love to help.
