How to use video to connect on social media

Jo from SES Water explains how the organisation uses video to showcase its 25-year education programme for schools. The discussion covers monitoring which posts perform best each week and learning from other energy providers' social media strategies to improve engagement.
Today we're looking at how to connect through social media. This is SES Water. We're going to watch their little video and then we're going to talk about it.
Teaching young people about the importance of water is vitally important. We need them to understand where it comes from, how it's treated, how it's made safe to drink, why it's under pressure. I'm Jo, the education coordinator here at SES Water. We've run an education program here for over 25 years and it's been my privilege to run it for the last 15. A typical school visit to Flowzone starts with an introduction in our education centre. We explain the treatment processes. In theory, we explain and then we go out.
So as you can see from this video here, it's all about passion, it's all about education. What she wants to do is she wants to communicate that they have been working with schools for a really long time, that she's very passionate about what she does, that she really enjoys it. And as you can see in the caption here, it says one of your commitments to our local communities to help to teach the next generation the importance of water. Seeing they've been doing it for 25 years, they've put Joe in there. But I guess it's a, a little lesson on water and how they educate local schools and it is about promoting their product if you like. But for them obviously their product is actually the education service. Um, and it definitely make me want to, if I was a skill, go down there. Now if I was them, one of the things that I'd want to do is keep on top of my social media and just make sure that it's working for me. So I would go to the maybe dashboard and on here you can see their best post for the first for each week and then on the right hand side they could compare themselves to literally any other energy provider. And what they can do is then start to get inspiration from the other energy provider. They might see what they're doing better, what they're not doing, get some ideas. It's just a really good way of being able to compare and contrast. Now as always, if you get any questions at all, you can r the blue button if you want to help.
