Today we're looking at how using Twitter can help boost your profile as a venture capitalist. This is Simon, and he has to use Twitter very much as a way of showing his credentials. As you can see here, what he does is quite a lot of commenting, a lot of reposting, but a lot of it is what he's, what he's showing is that he's very engaged, he does a lot of engagement. And on Twitter, that's exactly what you have to do. You have to consistently be engaged and comment regularly if you want to ensure that you're seen as a thought leader, maybe a political commentator or generally called upon to comment. And if journalists, for example, are sifting through and they're looking for someone to comment on a particular topic, if he makes sure that he's always relevant and always commenting, then he's much more likely to be called upon as a thought leader in his field. Now, if I was Simon, one of the things that I would probably do is I would want to stay on top of my mentions to anyone who's talking about me, so that then again, if anyone's commenting back, then I can make sure I'm responding back. So I would go to maybe platform and within the maybe platform here, he could reply back to comments directly through his dashboard, and but equally he could reply back to mentions within his dashboard. So literally anyone that's mentioned him in the last seven days, he can go in and we can look at who they are, reply back to them. And for example, if it is someone responding back to some of his comments, then he can deal with that. Or indeed he could go in and he could repost if it was something that was of interest. And the other obviously thing that he can do as part of the dashboard is that he can make sure that he is keeping an eye. Also. If Twitter, for example, is his main channel, then what would consistently come up here as his best post is Twitter, and then he compare himself to any other business as well, meaning that he can understand how social media is working for him. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. If you'd love to help.
