Today we're going to have a look at how using X can help boost your profile. This is Simon, and as a venture capitalist, he uses X very much as a way of showing his credentials. As you can see here, he's very engaged. What he does is quite a lot of commenting, a lot of reposting, all to show he's engaged and in touch with his sector. He does a lot of engagement on X. That's exactly what you have to do. You have to be consistently engaged. Comment regularly on X. As a platform, it's all about the conversation and you get out what you put in. It's a great platform to reach new people, reach relevant people and bring your feed to their attention. If you want to ensure that you're seen as a thought leader, maybe a political commentator, or be generally called upon to comment on a topic, this is a great place to do that. For example, if journalists are sifting through and they're looking for someone to comment on a topic, they're much more likely to do so with someone who's active and relevant in their field. So if Simon makes sure that he's always relevant and always commenting, then he's much more likely to be called upon as a thought leader in his sector. And as you can see by looking at his feed, he's always sharing other people's content that's of interest to his audience, giving his thoughts on this content, and just is generally engaged consistently, which is great to see. I hope that's been useful. If you'd like to see any more about topics mentioned in this video, please do search in the Video hub and I'll see you on another video soon.
