In this instructional video, the presenter explains why celebrating success on social media is vital for sports teams and other businesses, using Gillingham footballer Oliver Hawkins as a case study. She walks through creating a carousel of season highlights (or converting it into a Reel) to showcase wins and generate engagement. She then demonstrates how to tag a location (e.g., Gillingham) to connect with local businesses and potential sponsors, highlighting examples such as Unikent Live and Sea Cadets. The speaker emphasizes interacting with tagged accounts—liking, commenting, sharing—to digitally sign‑post followers back to the club’s profile and boost reach. The video ends with a call‑to‑action inviting viewers to click a help button for further assistance.

Foreign. At the importance of celebrating success on social media. And this is Oliver Hawkins and he is one of the Gillingham players. And as you can see, he uses social media very much to show, obviously, him as part of his football career, but equally he likes to show his family life as well, to show, I guess, you know, the people behind the career. And. And what you did here was Oliver Hawkins 2022, 2023, season done. And it's a little carousel of all of the players celebrating after winning. And as you can see is some great, great images. Really, really strong. You can see that. You know, it's. Everybody's smiling, everyone having a great time, there's some great action shots, but basically it's celebrating the success throughout the football season. That's what it's all about. And one of the biggest things that any business can do is to. Is to do that. It's to kind of show, I guess, you know, the highlights of your career or the highlights of your year, or, you know, like the various wins that you've had throughout the year. And you can do this, like this through carousel or you can indeed turn that into a reel and that can get you even more engagement and reach. Obviously, Oliver is well known, so he doesn't need that. But again, for any other business or sports club and who's smaller, for example, it would be a really good way of boosting your reach and engagement as well. Now, if I was Oliver, one of the things that I'd want to do is engage within the location. So say you picked Gillingham. Now, one of the reasons why you might want to do that is that as a business or sports club, for example, in the area, you would want to be making sure that other businesses are supporting you. There might be sponsorship opportunities or there might be affiliations, or indeed, if there's a lot of local businesses that are getting a lot of engagement on social media, they're all going to be based around and around Gillingham and therefore the people who are supporting them are equally likely to be supporters of the football club. So I would go to maybe and go to location. I'd pop it in here and then in here you can see. So there's Unikent Live, there's Sea Cadets, etc, look at the engagement that they're getting. I would be commenting, I would be liking and commenting, I would be creating a post, might be sharing it, and basically all that is is digitally signposting people back to their account. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. We'd love to help.
