Making your team front and centre will drive interest on social media

Polly Barnfield shows how Absolute Gym in Romford attracted members by filming staff testing £750,000 of new equipment and tagging brands to boost reshares. Multi-location gyms can use the Engage tab to create a group where branches support each other's posts and amplify reach.

Today we're looking at how showing off your team can drive new members. Absolute, based in Romford, Essex, is very focused on having an unlimited advice available and a really friendly atmosphere so that their customers never feel isolated or intimidated, which a lot of people do when they first start going to the gym. They know that as each customer's knowledge increases by accessing their team's expertise, they will become ever more confident in reaching their goals. In this video here, you can see their team are down at the fitness store where they're buying lots of new equipment and trying it all out. And it's all soon going to be coming to their gym and their counterparts are showing off which pieces they are, how they would work. It's such a good way to make a big splash about the investment that is actually going into the gym, which, as you can see, must be a lot. And it really shows that their team knows their stuff. Let's have a look. Now, what they could have done is literally just taken a picture saying, you know, new equipment coming, for example, but that wouldn't have gotten the attention. This has gotten the attention because, you know, there's a lot of amazing personal trainers, they all know their staff, there's some cool equipment. So if you're a gym goer and you'd be thinking, yes, you know, like, I've always wanted that one, they're putting all the detail, like, you know, over £750,000 has been spent. They've made sure that they've talked about the brand that they're spending it with. I think what would have been great is actually to tag in the brand so that then the brand would have known and then they could have reshared it as well. But ultimately, any business can do this about making sure that your team are front and center. They really know their stuff and it's just such a good way of, I guess, showing off how good your team are and also the gym itself. So as they've got multiple locations, this business might want to look at how all the businesses are performing together on social media. So what you can do is you can go into the maybe platform, they could go to the Engage tab and they can create a group. So by creating a group, they could literally put all of the Absolute gyms across the. Wherever they are across the uk and they would put it here. So it would just be Absolute gyms. And then what they can start to do is they can look at all of their posts. So say each gym is doing their own post, which I assume that they are here, then what you could do is, you know, so as maybe like the owner, I could go in and I could go in and engage or each individual gym can go in and they can engage with each other, show off support. So this would be all of their posts here and you can go in and like and you can comment. It's just an easy way to at a glance to see a group of businesses rather than just one.
