Showing the prep that goes into your business can help on social media

Baytree Hotel uses behind-the-scenes footage of wedding prep, cooking, and cleaning to show customers what service looks like. The Listing Insights tool tracks follower counts, engagement per post, and best-performing content to help you post smarter and benchmark against competitors.

Today we're looking at how showing the prep that goes into your business can show the quality of service on social media. The Baytree Hotel specializes in exclusive use of the hotel for house party style weddings. Its Instagram feed, as you can see, is full of the wedding setup. It's full of the cakes, it's full of the food, it's full of the rooms and the other areas around the Cotswolds as well, celebrating it. But it also really celebrates, of course, the happy couple on their day and that's what generates quite a lot of engagement. However, where any business can really learn from this is that showing the hard work that goes into the setup of your salon or your restaurant or your bar or indeed your hotel, from, from the cooking to the cleaning to the food to the guest services, it really builds up a picture in people's minds of the quality that they can experience when they're there. And then of course, the icing on the cake is actually showing the happy couple enjoying their time there or indeed your customers. Now, one of the things that the Bay Tree can do is understand more about how social media is performing for them. So, so if I was the Bay Tree, what I would do is I would go onto my maybe platform, I would go to listing Insights summary and I would click on myself. And what this does is it helps you understand what you should be doing more of or less of as well as benchmarking you against other businesses. And it's good for reporting purposes as well if you've got to show, you know that what you're doing on social, whether it's working or not. So here, what this does is I can click on this little arrow and it can take me to a full report. It can show me my ads and then it can show me my conversation, which is basically all of the content that's been generated across the channels, all in one area. Then it tells me how many followers I've got, it tells me how many posts I'm doing, the engagements per post. And so the number of engagements that we've gotten, it then tells me how many posts I'm getting per day, engagements per post and then engagements per day. So if I know that I'm posting X amount of times and I'm getting X amount of engagement, it's working out well. Actually, you know, do you need to post that much? Do you need to post less? It just gives you a little bit more analysis on things. Then also you can view your best post here. This is the best post of that last of the time period, so say the last week or the month, so you can start to see. Well, actually this kind of one's coming up more often. Then you can also view your content calendar as well, which shows you all the content that you've got scheduled and all of your previous content as well. If you've got any questions whatsoever, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
