In this tutorial, the speaker explains how local businesses can strengthen their social media presence by visibly supporting and participating in community activities. Using Wynn Construction in North Wales as a primary example, the video highlights two recent posts: a celebration of Ukrainian food at the Cultivate Community Garden and a collaboration with the Willow Collective where Callum and Romick taught joinery skills to young people. The speaker points out that reposting such community content, tagging locations, and actively liking, commenting, and sharing creates mutual exposure for both the business and the community partner, building trust and humanizing the brand. Practical steps are outlined—selecting the “local” filter, engaging with posts, and creating new content—to generate an ongoing engagement cycle that can attract new audiences. The video concludes with an invitation for viewers to ask questions via a clickable button.

Today we're looking at how on social media you should always show what you do in your community. So this is Wynn Construction and they're based in North Wales and one of the things that they are very, very well known for now on their Facebook page, issuing just how much they are integrated into the local community. They're always celebrating all the wonderful things that they do within the community. And as you literally over two days they did this post which was showing that they did a wonderful celebration of Ukrainian food with the community at the cultivate community garden and then here. Absolutely loved it. So this is them thanking Callum and Romick for spending time at the Willow Collective, showing young people joinery skills, helping them build some outdoor furniture. And then, as you can see, it links to the Willow Collective and that's where the, actually the original post came from. And what they've done is repost it. What is great to see is that it's a company supporting their local community. It's a company taking time out of their day to teach younger people new skills. And I think the joint post brings engagement to both companies as well, raising awareness. So all in all, it's just a really, really strong method for, I guess, showing that they can be trustworthy and, you know, showing the kind of human factor behind their business. Now, if I was wind construction, one of the things I would do is I would make be making sure that I'm really engaged in the local community digitally. So I would go to engagement, engage on maybe, and then choose a location which is here, and then you click local and then this shows you all of the businesses that are getting engagement on a daily basis get the most engagement on social media. Then if I was them, what I'd be doing, liking commenting, I might be sharing, I might create a new post about it. And all that does is it means that suddenly I'm coming up as a business to businesses that might have never heard of me before. And guess what, if they've got, say, I don't know, you know, 1400 people that like a particular post for the real journal, then those 1400 people will sudd see my comment come in, start might even start getting some of them coming back and engaging with me, which is really how social media works. It's all about kind of creating that constant engagement cycle. Now, as always, if you've got any questions, click on the little blue button. Love to help.
