In this instructional video, the narrator walks through Play Nightclub’s Instagram presence to illustrate how the venue uses high‑quality, in‑the‑moment images, videos, and stories to convey the fun atmosphere of its events. The club prioritises a curated selection of eye‑catching, colorful visuals rather than posting large volumes of content, which drives likes and conversation. The speaker highlights best‑practice tactics: combining images, videos, and stories; ensuring all media are high‑standard; tagging the venue and employing specific hashtags; curating user‑generated content by resharing tagged posts; and actively responding to comments. The video also demonstrates the “Maybe” (Mavis) engagement platform, which aggregates mentions, comments, and relevant hashtags across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, allowing a single‑pane view for real‑time interaction and content discovery. Viewers are encouraged to use the platform’s blue support button for further help and to explore additional videos on topics like images or hashtags.

We're going to have a look at how Play Nightclub capture the fun experience they offer through quality images and video. If you have any questions, please use the blue button inside Mavis. It connects you to us 247 and we love to help. So let's have a look at their feed. So Play is a nightclub in Hereford. They invite people to forget about work and start, start the party. So would imagine their aim is very much to give a little taste of the fun experience they offer through their social media feeds. And looking at their Instagram feed here, they post a range of eye catching videos, images and stories that do exactly that. They capture fun moments as they happen. But what they don't seem to be tempted to do is take lots of images and post, you know, lots of them or all of them onto their feeds. They really do maintain a quality of images image in what they actually choose to post. So you can see that all of the images are very eye catching and just a really, really good quality. But they absolutely do show you what happens at their events and just the fun experience that you could actually have if you actually look to go along. Their images are colorful. They're very much in the moment. They get lots of likes on their posts, they get people talking about their posts, which obviously helps them reach even more people with their content. But it's very a simple approach. They literally take images and videos of their nights as they happen and then they post them through their feeds. But it works, it's very effective. And I think what stands out is the quality of image that they maintain throughout all of their posts. I mean, they're great images, really colorful, but they just kind of make you want to go along, which is exactly what they're looking to do. So yeah, they do a great job. So what can we learn from this? Well, absolutely. Use a combination of images and videos in your content. A combination of the two. Video is the most engaging type of content. So definitely have that in the mix and make sure that both those and your images are of a high standard. And plus add some stories into the mix just to add that extra slice of fun. So you can see here that Play regularly post stories just about events that they're running just as another way to actually promote what's on offer if you actually go along. But as I said, use that combination. Make sure your posts are eye catching, make sure they're good quality. But then the other thing to think about is to actually tag your place into your content. So obviously if someone wants to look at all of the images that have tagged a place, they can obviously click on that. And what they'll see here is not only the content that you've posted, but also all of the content that other people have posted tagging in your place as well. So it'll kind of give them a real story of, of what actually happens at that particular place. So I think they do a great job. Let me have a look. Let's have a look and show you how the maybe Engagement tab can help you here. So obviously if people tag you into content or they comment on your posts, it's really important to make sure that you respond to comments. But also a great type of content to actually use is obviously what's called curated content, which is sharing other people's content. And I think, you know, a nightclub is a perfect example where you are likely to get lots of people tagging in either your feed or using a hashtag of your place to obviously spread the word about what they're actually doing when they're there. So that's social media gold, really, because you can actually then reshare that onto your feeds. And obviously it gives people that full picture of the experience that they will actually get if they come along. So here from maybe Engagement here, you can engage with comments, you can engage with who mentions you, but you can also under engage, you can set in here any feeds or any hashtags that you want to actually follow and engage with. So if you've got a particular hashtag for your place. So Play Nightclub could be Play Nightclub Hereford or something like that, you can actually add that to the platform here. Plus you can add, say, your place conversation, you can add other relevant feeds. So again, for play, it could be DJs that play nights at their nightclub or anything else that's relevant. And effectively you can engage with all of that from one place here in the maybe platform. And that's across multiple platforms. So that's on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter too. So it just makes sure that you are engaging with people when they actually comment on your posts. But also you're part of the right conversations and you're not missing out on content that people are posting in your place. That could be fantastic content for you to share on your feeds. So I hope that's been useful. If you have any questions, please use this blue button here on the bottom, right inside maybes. It connects you to us all 24 7.
