Social Media Strategy 2023 - Choosing Channels

Polly Barnfield shows how to pick the right social media channels for your business. While 79% of UK consumers spend over an hour daily on social media, only 19% of businesses have active accounts. She walks through Instagram for visual campaigns, Facebook for community, and Twitter for real-time engagement, with examples from Boohoo, Home Bargains, and Burger King.

Foreign. This month we're really focusing on social media strategy. So what I'm trying to do is each week give you guys some really sort of tangible takeaways and some ideas on what you can do to actually improve your social media strategy for the year ahead. And last week we spoke a little bit about, I guess, you know, social media generally and about, you know, how you can have, I guess, pull together some ideas on, you know, building up your social. And then this week we are talking about choosing channels. Now this is something I talk to a lot of businesses about. They're never quite sure, you know, do we use Facebook, do we use Instagram? We use all of them. They're not really working for us, that kind of thing. So that's where we can help you. So sort of buckle up and get ready for us to chat through lots of amazing brands. And I guess basically what we're going to do is talk about the brands are winning on social media and we want you to kind of discover the ingredients that you need to help your business get more from social. So this is what we're going to cover today. So the right channels for 2023. So what I want you to do is learn from the leading independents and then also national brands. We're going to look at Boohoo vs Superdrug. We're also looking at pets at home as well and another couple of brands and we're looking at, I guess, how use the channels, the different channels, why they use them and then break that down for you. We're looking at why the UK's retailers make Instagram work for them and how Facebook helps you engage directly with your customers, which brands use Twitter and the content that works best for them on Twitter and then winning content ideas for the next few weeks. So we've got a really cool new new document that I want to share with you guys and it's a new tool for Navy, which we can give to you guys and it's all about helping you guys come up with some ideas and for over the next few weeks. So one of the fastest ways, I guess, to lean in to, to what will work best is to look at what your competitors are doing and improve on it. So with maybe you can actually dive in and add as many competitors or large brands as you like and you can see that entire posting schedule so it looks something like this, as well as being able to schedule in your own content. And it's worth noting you can also remix anyone else's content from here too. So it's A really good way to sort of create inspiration. So let's take a little look. Fingers crossed. This works from Zoom. There we go, guys. So where this is taking us to is to maybe. And it's taken us to Content Calendar. And what this should open up is the full content calendar. And basically, like, for me, like the different. Different markets on different channels, and each of them have a slightly different function. So what I want to do is talk about this particular brand here, which was actually a shoe shop, and it's independent. And if she knows that she's getting more engagement consistently every single week on, say, Instagram, which it turns out she was, then the idea should be that she's naturally going to focus more of her efforts on there. So what does that actually mean? So when we go into. When we go into the content channel here, and what you can see is literally all of the content that would be. That has already been scheduled, and you can see all of yours now imagine. Then you could actually see everyone else's as well. So here I want to compare myself to. Who will we choose? We'll put in Kiskara, because that was the shoe shop that was talking about. So you just go and add more. And actually, this is going to be a little bit slow because we're on Zoom, but I promise it's super quick. So basically, she would go in and do this. So she would add in any competitor and she would take a look at, I guess, you know, it might be like a really big fashion brand. It might be a separate one, but here. And then we'll just toggle to a slightly different week. There we go. And so then she can see all of her content versus, say, a separate brand. But what I want to show you is you can literally see all of the content. So you can see every piece of content that they would have scheduled in over the course of that week. There it all is. So for her, this helps her go, right, okay, this is my content. This is someone else's content. This is what's working. She can even go in, she can view the posts, and she can really start to understand, right, okay, people are interested in this type of content. Brilliant. I can start scheduling more of this in. But if maybe the competitor is using more of, I don't know, an alternate, an alternative channel, maybe Facebook. I'd be clicking into their post and going, wonder why that's working. Wonder why that's not working. Is it the hashtags? And you can go in and view the post. So it's just a really Good way of kind of understanding what channels are working for her, how. And then how can she then make the most obviously this platform in order to schedule more of that content in? So let's go back to the deck and I will start to talk a little bit more about how you can prioritize channels. Now, remember, this isn't me telling you that you need to use Instagram or you need to use Facebook. Usually it's a combined. Usually there's a bit of a mixture. But the idea is I just want to give you guys some sort of background to each of the channels and then give you guys some sort of case studies as to how they're working for different types of businesses. So did you know that 79% of consumers in the UK spend over an hour on social media every single day? And guess What? There's only 19% of businesses of active social media accounts. You want to capture that 79%. So let's get you more social. That is literally what we do here at maybe we help you guys get better at social and then we help out over 25,000 businesses get more out of social. So we do everything from helping you compare with your dashboards to helping you compare with other businesses and we give you loads of social media tools and insights to help you use social media more effectively. And then we give you loads of expert resources and training. So we'll get this webinar and then I'll talk you through some other bits of training that we have as well. Now, without further ado, I just want to get cracking. There's so much to talk about today. So we had a look at what channels retailers across the UK were using more, more effectively. So we basically, we can look at our dashboards and we can see the top 10, say, retailers in the UK, which channels are they using more and more they get more engagement from? And it turns out it is Instagram. So what I want to do is pick two different ones because they are quite different. But I'm going to talk about boohoo first. But I want to give you a bit of background because Instagram gives fash brands the ability to build awareness and promote different initiatives and events and communicate directly with customers. And by nature, Instagram has a great choice for fashion brands because it's, I guess it's got a kind of community kind of thing, but it's much more about the visual dimensions. They're much more critical. And Facebook did a survey that found Instagram is the number one place to discover fashion products. If you've got anything to do with fashion, retail or, you know, you've got a physical product, even gifting something like that, it's a really good channel for you. And by preparing a social media strategy that focus on the platform, you're in with a shot of reaching the 28 million Instagram users in the UK. So let's have a look at Boohoo. So Boohoo smashed it with this reel. Now, this is a reel and I want to show you because it doesn't really look like a real. Now, if you don't. If you don't know what a real is. A real is basically a video, usually lots of different snippets all pulled together. But they could have done it a little bit differently here because it's static. Now they've chosen to do this as a reel because Instagram pushes reels much further up than it does static pictures. But the concept of it is really clever. So it looks like it's a chat between, I guess, two sisters who want to win a cash prize and some new clothes. So there you go. Hey, sis, we're thinking if we could do a joint giveaway to kick off the new year you end. Yeah, we're in. What you thinking? We could give away £500 worth of cash and a new wardrobe for two winners and. Yes, and we're in for it. Let's. Let's make it so one £1000 cash for each winner and it's a deal. Done. Let's go. Right, so that is going to capture your attention before anything else. You may going to look at that and go, oh, that's a conversation. Oh, they're talking about winning money and a wardrobe. Everyone's, you know, not got a huge amount of money in January. We're all struggling with the economy at the moment. This is the perfect kind of competition that's going to capture your attention. But think about it. Why Instagram? So they know their market. They know because they've invested the time, the effort and the money to make sure that they understand that Instagram is the right thing for them. They've tested out different channels and Instagram is where they always put their competitions. And the reason why is because that is where their target market is. Look at what they normally post. It is fast fashion, sexy stuff that, you know, is aimed at a sort of younger female demographic that wants stuff for a night out, want stuff for girls weekend, a girls holiday. It's very much a girls girl kind of brand. So they know that Instagram is where they're Sitting, flicking through, looking for inspiration. And this is about wanting you to tag in someone else. This is about attracting new people to your feed. So the reason why you would choose Instagram in this sense is because you've got a product that you can show off, AKA fashion gifting, maybe a candle, it doesn't really matter. It's something you can actually show off. So Instagram's a great one for that. But it's also brilliant because an Instagram is. It's much. I don't know, it just feels easier to tag people. And Facebook, it feels somehow a little bit more personal. Whereas this is just yet, you know, I want to win this kind of thing. So having a look, you know, the winner, cash prize, wardrobe for each of you and your friends kick off 20, 23, blah, blah, blah. So we've gone into it, but the key thing here is and a friend. So you've got to make sure you're following Boohoo man and boohoo. So it's like the sister and the brother type of thing. And you've got to like the post. You've got to do a comment with a little emoji. And then what. What they want is for people to really tag in a friend. Right? And people have done, obviously, they've got lots of the little, would you call it, the little emojis. And you'll only be able to see some of these comments here. But this has been liked and engaged with by 43,000 people. That is huge on Instagram. You just don't get the same sort of effect with a fashion brand on Facebook. It just doesn't get that same kind of engagement. And the reason why is because it is a visual platform. So that is the reason why they show it, so they understand where they're following. That's what you need to do. You need to understand where you're following is you need to understand what kind of content they use. And they know this because they do regular competitions and they now know what works. And it is usually money and some clothing and they want something that will be taggable for people. So they've kind of rolled that all into one. And then, I guess, you know, the more that they engage with their followers, the more that people will follow. And the more that people tag people, the more that they're likely to get new people that are more than likely to buy from them. That's the whole premise of Instagram. So that is why this post works really, really well. And again, it's why you can use a Static post on a reel. Because again, if you just do it as a picture, it doesn't get pushed up the algorithm as much as it does on face. Sorry. As it does if it's a real. So the other one I wanted to look at. And again, as always, if you've got any questions, just drop that in. The Q and A is no problem. I'm happy to answer them. I want to talk about Superdrug. So very, very different brand, very, very different demographic because it kind of has to cover quite a lot of different types of people. But they've also done a competition. They've also chosen Instagram because of the exact reason I'm telling you. Let's have a look at this. So they're doing an unboxing of their Prada product. So this is the mini satin mini bag with crystals and a leather card holder inside. There you go. So, yeah, so they're really showing off the bag, they're really showing off the car. They'll show off the card holder in a second, you'll see it all. But the idea is, is that this is a competition to start off the new. They're giving people the chance to actually win it. And then to enter it, you've got to like the pinned post. You've got to be following Superdrug and you've got to leave a comment letting us know your New Year's resolution. So they're asking people to do a little bit more and work a wee bit harder, and you'll see that this has been engaged by just little, just shy of six and a half thousand people. So less than boohoo. But arguably a huge brand. You know, still a big brand, but again, different type of brand because again, they'll have to look at Facebook, Instagram and other channels as well, because they'll have different age groups, different demographics and different types of things that they're focusing on. So let's have a look at what they did here. As you can see, people actually did put down their New Year resolution. So you can actually do that. So if you do have a competition running live on. You want to try it on Instagram, this is a good place to do it. And it really shows off the brands that they want to push. And they've tried to appeal to the luxury side of things and trying to drive engagement. I guess what's really interesting about the resources response is some people have had quite a negative view, if you like, because they're talking about leather goods. Okay. That aside, that is their opinion, and that's fine. But people, there's been lots and lots of responses, lots and lots of responses. And I think what's really interesting is regardless, they know that Instagram drives awareness of the products. They know that people engage with that. So whether they engage with it in a positive way or a negative way, people still have engaged. And that's what Instagram is all about. Sometimes it's that whole good press versus bad press. Is there any such thing as bad press? Well, yes, there is. But when it comes to Instagram, ultimately, as long as they go back and they contact them and they address that in some way, shape or form and they've got, you know, a statement ready or whatever it might be, they'll be used to that kind of thing. So don't worry too much about that. But I guess it's more just to thinking about why they're using Instagram the first place. And it is to get engagement. That's what they want. And so by asking people to comment on their New Year's resolutions, they can then take that content and then turn it into future content further down the line. They can turn it into, you know, I don't know, 10% of people said they wanted to get healthier and 3% of people said that, you know, they want to be the best version of themselves, whatever it might be. So that's new content that had actually been derived from actual customers as well. So I guess if you're thinking about Instagram, if you have a visually based product or something that you, you can make or do a decent video of on, Instagram is a really good place to drive awareness. It gets new eyes on your feeds through tagging, thinking about, you know, what content will make people want to tag you and attract. So that attracts more of the right people to your website or your store. You might also want to join us and look at our training guys because we do loads of things on ads on here because ads is a really interesting one for Instagram. So if you're going to go down the advertising route, don't forget to do a call to action on your Instagram stor stories. Because guess what, a type that type of ad with one call to action tends to perform 89 better than any other ad. So just little tidbits for you but just things to think about. And we do loads of training on ads as well through maybe. So if you ever want to pop on, then just let us know. Right, I'm going to whiz through this because this goes back to the content calendar. So here as you can see, I've been able to see Boohoo's content calendar and obviously you can just see that's this week. So you can see they use a lot of different meme and things like that to get engagement. And that's my point is that they are still using Facebook and they've got little bits of Instagram here, but they are, they are still very much using Facebook. They're still using Twitter. So you've got the different colors for the different things. So they still use all the channels. But Instagram tends to be where they post more of their competitions and things like that because they know they're going to get more engagement. And then you've got superdrug, so they're pretty equal. As you can see Facebook at the start of the week and then Instagram as well. And they know when is the right time to post because again, they focus on this stuff. So it's just thinking about, you don't have to just use one channel, just thinking about where you might put more effort in and that's usually by understanding more about your insights. Okay, so then I wanted to look at Facebook. Facebook is a really good way to build up reputation and build up relationships and reputations and things like that. Now there's over 48 million UK users on Facebook and about 4 in 10 Facebook users claim to discover inspiration on the platform with this fashion inspiration, gifting inspiration, service inspiration. So in other words, the opportunity to engage a new audience and create brand loyalty on Facebook is not to be ignored. So the other thing people use Facebook for is to connect and engage directly with brands. So if you notice a lot of people that might, you know, if you're an independent business or maybe you're a shopping center, maybe your council, whoever you are, I'd love to know who you are, Please feel free to drop it in. If you ever notice that you might put up a post and people will say things like, what time you open? What, what price is this? And you know why? It's because they expect a response now. They expect you to reply now they don't. They can't be bothered going and looking on your website. So if you've not put it in your post, they're asking you because they want a response. They expect on social media for it to be 24, seven, seven days away for you to be responding. Now I'm not saying that that's something that you should do. What I'm saying is you need to be aware that people are expecting engagement on Facebook. They want to talk to you directly, they want to engage also like talking to each other in a very different way from Instagram. You just don't get that same thing. So if you want to encourage conversation and genuine connection, Facebook can be a really good way of doing that. Now what I wanted to do was show you guys two different brands. So Home Bargains and Pets at Home, two completely different brands, but both, funnily enough, looking really, really similar when it came to these messages. Now this isn't that I'm not talking to you guys particularly about Christmas. What I'm talking to you guys about is using the human connection. So here we've got. We're closed Boxing Day and New Year's Day because our staff are having a well deserved break. So let's go in and have a little look at what this was all about. Okay? So I just need to move myself out of the way, right, so this was. We're closed Boxing Day, New Year's Day, our staff are having a well deserved break. Now. Home Bargains. Everybody knows it's Home Bargains. It's quite literally does what it says on the 10, right? They're normally posting pictures of, you know, all the different things that they've got, the different products, the bits of furniture, all that kind of thing. This was a very definite thing for them. So then you see in the caption have said all of our stores will be closed for Boxing Day and New Year's Day. If you're in desperate need of bargains, make sure you don't miss out and pop into our stores a few days before. Lots of love the team, right? So it feels very personal. Now that has had 13,000 engagements, 973 comments and 855 shares. And it's so positive. It is a simple message that looks really, really similar to Pets at Home and quite a lot of other brands did it. But look, here's a company that cares about their staff. Every company should follow. Best wishes, my favorite store. Good, I'm glad. Some shops said the sends to close to agree all shops should be closed on Boxing Day. Now that is just the top layer of it, right? But that is, you know, that is 973 people have gone. That's amazing. That's so, so good that you're closed for Christmas Day. You know, so sorry over the Boxing Day and New Year's Day period because staff deserve a break. Facebook is brilliant for this kind of thing. So if you are a business that has, you know, like you're able to put your staff at the forefront or you know, you're quite a busy bustling business. You know, like supermarkets, delis, restaurants, all that kind of thing. Facebook can be a great way of really engaging with your customers and actually just saying, you know, actually yeah, they need a day off or this is going on or that's going on, like honesty on Facebook. And so if you are thinking about the types of channel to choose to get engagement and by engagement for Facebook I mean directly having conversations with customers, Facebook's the right one for you. Now going back then to pets at home, exactly the same thing. Two completely different businesses, completely different markets, but both basically doing the same thing. So by this, what I'm trying to show you is that both of these brands have had two of their best posts on social media in the last couple of months on Facebook, more than Instagram because a they chose to use an image that actually directly mentions that the staff need a well deserved rest and that they would be closed. And then instead of people being upset they couldn't purchase, people celebrated it because of the sentiment behind it. Again, it's all about hard working staff. Our pets and store will be fed and taken care of so people aren't going to worry about the pets. And then it's always that, you know, good luck, you know, well done love. This would be great if every shop would do the same. Fantastic news. Hope other stories are doing the same. People get it, people buying into it because it's the human connection. So for me it's, if you're thinking about Facebook, one of the things you can really do is have that human connection, you can have that direct conversation. So if you're a brand that can pop up content regularly about your team, about what you're doing, about the wins, about the losses and if you really want to focus on the local element as well, you know, like about what's happening in a local town, engaging with local conversation. Facebook is such a good tool because you can really converse and engage with people on a day different level. So you, but you might also want to choose Facebook if you've got a community side to your brand. Maybe, I don't know, you're a personal trainer, you're a gym, you've got a weight watchers, you've got, you know, maybe, I don't know, a town center and you're developing a community. You know, we've all got, we've all seen those online community pages. Facebook is perfect for that because again it's all about like pulling together lots and lots of people with the same interest, creating a community where they can all share freely. You can have a private one, you can have a public one. But again, Facebook, you just don't get the same thing on Instagram. So it's just thinking about the reasons why you want to use certain channels. But again, learning from the likes of Pets at Home and Home Bargains, you know, there's lots of different reasons to use it, but this is a great way. It shows you that people genuinely buy from people and people like to see businesses engage properly with their staff and also with their potential customers. And again, going back to their content calendar. So here I was able to look at Home Bargains. You can see the kind of things that they normally put here. So they've got, you know, like their extreme fitness events, which I would never have known that they would have done. But who. There you go, you've got, you know, like the types of things they normally do. So as you can see, it's not normally things like that. It's not normally you're kind of, you know, we're shutting and you know like having like a kind of really Christmassy bog standard graphic. It is actually normally about their stores. So it shows you that that is going against what they would normally do. And it shows it works because they understand. But again you can see that they use the different channels. So they still use Instagram, they still use Facebook, but again they're using them in slightly different ways. They're putting different images on. And that's because they'll have tested. You can use maybe to do this. You can look at the dashboard and understand whether it's Facebook or Instagram that's working for you. And then likewise, I mean, pets at home, I mean you could just stare at that all day, couldn't you? Look at the little dog. Dogs there and the little cat, they're super cute. But again, it's looking at. Okay, this one was a video, this one was a video. Which one was performing better? You can start to really build up a picture. So feel free to go into the maybe platform and add in the different brands because you can then start to get a real understanding of. Okay. Oh, right. Okay. This kind of thing's performing really well on Facebook and this is going on really well on Instagram. You can start to get some inspiration around it too now. Good old Twitter. Right? So we know that Twitter has seen massive changes over the end of last year and the chat doesn't exactly look like it's going to be stopping anytime soon. It's constantly in the press. But what I thought I would do is show you how different brands use the platform and why. So Twitter can actually be really unpredictable. But one thing is certain, you've got to respect the algorithm if you want to make big moves. So this means if you want to boost engagement, drive traffic to, to your website, or build awareness of your brand, you kind of need to understand the Twitter algorithm, because unlike other apps, Twitter allows its users to decide what they see. So users can choose between basically the algorithm, so, you know, basically the default timeline, which is basically the top tweets, you know, that what's trending, that kind of thing. Or they can view tweets in reverse chronological order so they can look at the latest tweets as well. So you can kind of like pick and choose. You can also choose, you know, like, do you want it to be more, I don't know, like more ads that are tailored to you and what you normally click on, or do you want just the generic stuff? So Twitter allows you to choose more. But the thing with Twitter is you really need to be on it. You need to be on it, you need to be engaged on it, you need to be chatting on it. And these are some of the brands that I find when I was looking on the maybe platform that are really, really strong on, on Twitter. And I kind of want to talk a little bit about Roy, why. So Post Office, right? This was the Post Office here. And their tweet was, our New Year's resolution is to make everyone in Britain realize we're not the same company as the Royal Mail. Now, that had 23,000 likes, it had 1800 retweets. Now, what does that say? So that says that the Post Office are obviously on Twitter. They've made basically a little tongue in cheek thing because, as we know, there was a lot of strikes, so a lot of people weren't getting their Christmas presents, weren't getting their Christmas cards, and still obviously struggling. And what the Post Office clearly have been getting a huge amount of complaints. And what they were trying to say was, we are not in the same bucket as the Royal Mail, so please feel free to tag in the Royal Mail if you've got a problem. So I think that's what's really interesting. So they've used Twitter to basically engage with customers to say, can you contact them and not me, please? They've attacked in the Royal Mail to basically get them to go, yeah, okay, fine, you know, here's our complaint service. And people liked it, people got engaged with it, and People retweeted that. So when you're thinking about Twitter, it is about short, sharp, you know, like bits of, you know, like, like up to the minute engagement. It is stuff that you want to put out there that you kind of need to just put out there now also then you've got like the Burger King. So they actually do tons of stuff on Twitter and they actually do a lot of competitions where they're on Twitter. That is just because that is where their customer tends to be. You feel free to try it as well. But again, you've got to adhere to all the Twitter rules, the likes of Nando's. So they tend to do tweets that are tongue in cheek, bit silly, poking fun at themselves and usually customer related. But it is, it's always just, you know, like an image of like a napkin or something like that. But they also comment on life events and things that are going on. They love a meme and they've got really engaged followers on Twitter, but they do sometimes reuse their content that's from Instagram or Facebook. Paddy Power. They actually like to be very controversial on Twitter. So I'm not actually going to show you what this post was. You can feel free to go in and have a look at it. But basically what they like, what they like to do is they like to directly link whatever is on say Sky Sports or a sporting event, which you would say maybe put a bet on Paddy Power or any other one. They like to take a still and comment on it and directly relate that back to something else that's happening in the world, usually political, usually something that is very controversial. And it's something that they know will get people chatting and get people talking and it's always like, you know, like so, you know, literally if he's just thrown a dart, they've literally taken a still and then they put something out straight away. So basically it's kind of thinking about the key with Twitter is you need to be really engaged on there. The more that you engage, the more that people engage with you on a certain topic. So it's kind of about, about talking topics and the more that Twitter will think that your post is of interest, but remember that it's about you being present and jumping on the hot topics that are of interest to you and also your biz and the, your customers. But listen, if you want to learn any more about this channel or any of the other ones, then just join in our weekly trainings and you can learn how to leverage the maybe platform to help you get better with all of these different channels in your social media journey. But this is what I'm really excited to show you guys. So this is our amazing new tool. So let me go in and show you. So one of the things that I know that everybody struggles with, we've talked a bit about channels and we talked a bit about content. We talked about how different businesses use the different channels with the different pieces of content. And what everyone struggles with is things like national days. I talk about them all the time. How do you leverage national days, national campaigns and things like that? And how do you, you know, like find them? So I'm always saying, you know, like, just Google it, blah, blah, blah, we've done it better. What we've done is we have created our own 2023 social media content inspiration calendar. So as you can see down the bottom, hopefully you can see January all the way through to December. And when we click into January, what you'll see. Is, come on, zoom this. It's so exciting. So this is literally every single national event or national month, national campaign. You've got the date, you've got the title, you've got even some content. We've even created some content. So things like looking. So let's, in fact, let's just go further down. So we are on what, the 11th of January. I'm going to go for two weeks, week's time. Let's have a look at National Hug day. That's on the 21st of January, right? So the theory behind this is you could look at this and go, right, okay, I need some content and something to talk about that's just general, you know, and then you can obviously, obviously link it back to your customers. So national hug days on 21 January, your content could be something like National Hugging Day. This holidays became popular in other countries where it's called National Hug Day. The idea of National Hug Day hugging belongs to Kevin Zaborny who introduced this on the on January, blah, blah, blah. But that is just a complete and utter, you know, random one. It could be National Popcorn Day, it could be Winnie the Poody. One of the cuddliest holidays around has to be the Winnie the Pooh Day celebrated by the birthday of author A.A. mel. It's an anniversary. Pooh Bears. Pooh fans can't bear to mess. This year the occasion is marked with events such as Teddy, blah, blah, blah. So you can see here what we've got. We've got the date, we've got what you've got. And then we've actually even created some content for you. We've put whether or not it's international, whether it's the United States, United Kingdom within, put in the type, the types of, the kind of awareness days and what kind it would be. And then we've even given you some hashtags as well. So what we're going to do is every, every week I'm going to go into this and give you guys some ideas for the next couple of weeks on different pieces of content and we'll do this over the next few weeks, months. So literally, you know, you've got Blue Monday, you've got Winnie the Pooh Day, you've got National Popcorn Day. Like, you know, if you've got a cinema locally, could you link the National Popcorn Day back to them? If you've got a popcorn based dessert in your restaurant, could you link it back? Or you could just be a hair salon that wants to celebrate National Popcorn Day because you love popcorn. And it could just be you guys talking about it and asking people, are they salty or are they sweet? Doing a little poll on social media, that is how easy this is. It's literally taking this and going, doing brilliant. I know what I can do, X, Y and Z. So I just want to show you guys this because this is something that we're going to talk about every week because guess what, you can engage with this, you can engage with the hashtags, you can do little content, you can do gifts and it just breaks up your content. It gives you some ideas and some inspiration. So if you obviously want the this tool, if you want a link to the page where you can download it, just pop in the qa, Q and A and let me know and I will get that sent on to you as soon as possible, basically. And so, yeah, just let me know if you want it, just put a yes and I will get it sent to you. And effectively it means that you've got this big beast of a tool that's all there that you can form hundreds and hundreds of different pieces of content throughout the year and obviously you can feel free to use it. Oh, thank you. Good, we've got a couple coming in, Hannah. Of course we can do, do that. Brilliant. Thanks, hannah. There we go. Right, now remember, we provide all the tools and all the support that you need. So we've obviously got that, which as I said, if you just drop a yes in the chat, then I'll get it sent to you. But we do everything from schedule selling to advertising to reporting. You can literally learn from any competitor, we do everything. Then we've also got our maybe training. So on Monday it's how to use maybe. Tuesday, social media basics. So basically, you know, like how to get started with social media. Wednesday, you've got me. Thursday you've got ads for beginners. So going back to little tidbits I've said about ads, so maybe you want to try a Facebook ad. You want, you've never done it before. Friday, if you've done Facebook ads before and you kind of just want to get better at it, it you just log on, sit with a cup of tea and you can ask some questions in the Q and A and you can chat, but you can learn from the experts that we've got here. And then we've always got all, always on demand training as well. So it's all the trainings that we create day in, day out for you guys. Anytime you ask for any specific kind of training, we always put on there. And then remember, you can always click on the little letter blue button in the platform to ask any questions as well. So I just want to give you some key takeaways from today. So begin with your dashboard and insights before you push forward with your content. You need to know what works on which channels before investing time, money and resources. So don't try and be all things to all people. Work on a platform, see how it's performing, then try the other one and then look at which one's working for which. It might be that a video works better on this than the other one. And once you start to get into the rhythm, it will make it much easier for you to choose which channels and fashion or products which you can really show off in. Video does do well on Instagram. So always think about your calls to action and how you can create content that is taggal and follow up with the content that sells. So you do your taggy post that gets loads of people to you and then you can follow up with the next post being, you know, I've got this amazing dress or, you know, this amazing perfume, whatever it might be. Facebook is where you can really build community and conversation. So think local content, content, think teams, think showing your human side, creating conversation. And it's vital and it's great for businesses with owners at the coal face as well. So if you are an entrepreneur, you're a single single person business. Again, it's a good way of you kind of like, you know, giving a bit of background. It might be that you're, I don't know, shopping center manager, go on camera and start talking about, you know, like, what you do and how you do it and, you know, why you make the decisions that you make. Get your security team to do the same. You know, there's lots of different ways of doing it, but that's what Facebook is great for, for encouraging that. Chats and the conversation. When planning whether to use Twitter or any other channels, just focus on where your customers are, what topics make them tick. And you have to invest in engagement. So you need to think about posting is only part of the work. Think about actually going in. You need to usually we say follow a bit of a rhythm of like, follow, share, that kind of thing, or tag in someone. But it's all about engaging in hashtags, engaging in conversations, engaging in communities on Facebook. But that's the bit that sometimes takes a little bit of time. So that's where, again, we can help you with the maybe platform. So when you get your maybe account, you can go in and there's a whole engage section. So you can go in there and you can actually, like, create little groups. You can engage in your location. It's all there for you. And you literally just click like or comment and share. So you can set up your account today and you can basically start learning. So you can learn from other brands. It's all in there. And obviously, if you're already on there, just start using it. Use the tools, use the book, the training button, use the skills hub. Just start using it. Because honestly, we build this content for you guys and the more that you use it, the more that we learn as well from you what you need. And again, if there's ever anything on there that you want, just feed it back to us because we're building this constantly.
