Telling a story through your content helps you connect with your audience

Boodles, a 200-year-old Liverpool jewellery house, uses its family heritage and product stories to connect with customers. The speaker shows how their Chelsea Flower Show collection and behind-the-scenes videos drive engagement, then walks through how to audit a competitor's content calendar to find what works.

Today we're looking at how telling a story through your content helps you connect with your audience. This is Boodles. Boodles have been different from the very beginning. No other fine jewellery brand actually hails from Liverpool or has been steered by six generations of the same family for over 200 years. So as much as a story about a fine jewellery company, it's also a story about people exhibiting passion for their jewellery, overcoming adversity and fulfilling long held ambitions to take the business from its roots to the blossoming international reputation that it has today. There's no better way of doing this than this is what this was jewelry that they created especially for the Chelsea Flower Show 2022. And it was inspired by Gardens of the World and a mix of exotic, vibrant colours. So again, this is an independent business that started in Liverpool that has been going for over 200 years. Six generations of the same family and it goes to you. All of their process. So why they came up with it, why they came up with it, how they came up with it, how they've designed it, what the blooms were and the flowers. And again, they've all done it for the Chelsea Flower show, which again, they wouldn't have been able to do if they hadn't been able to take the business from where it was to where it is, which they've only done through hard work and determination over the last few years. So by telling a story through your content, whether it is about your process like this one or, or indeed in some of their other posts where they go into more of the detail about their family, then it is just about how, it's about how you can communicate your content best with your customers and directly influence them to purchase off the back of it. Now what Boodles would do well is comparing their content calendar to another brand of a similar elk, maybe to get some inspiration or to even measure what they're doing and make appropriate tweaks. So that I would go to my content calendar, go to content, went to Content Calendar and then at the top it would be Boodles and then underneath I've just put in any jewelry for now, but I put in fine vintage antique jewelry and you can get a bit of a feel for, you know, these guys are doing a lot more video content than they are doing static content. They mainly use Instagram, they don't use Facebook or Twitter, but it just gives you a bit of a feel for what they're doing, how they're doing it, how they're showing their stuff and then you can go in and then they can physically go in and view the post and see what it's all about, what they say, click to see more, etc. Now, if you've got any questions whatsoever, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
