In this tutorial, the presenter explains why tagging collaborators, brands, and event mentions on Instagram is a crucial strategy for increasing reach, engagement, and future partnership opportunities. Using actress Neve Algar as a case study, she illustrates how tagging the photographer, stylists, makeup artists, fashion brands like Michael Kors, and events such as the BAFTAs turns a visually appealing post into a networked conversation that encourages resharing and reciprocal tags. The speaker then advises creators to monitor the performance of tagging posts through a social‑media dashboard, identify their highest‑engagement content, and replicate successful tagging patterns. She also recommends benchmarking against peers—other celebrities or brands—to stay on‑trend and maintain visibility. The video ends with a call‑to‑action inviting viewers to ask further questions via a help button.

Today we're looking at the importance of tagging on social media. This is Neve Algar and she spends quite a lot of her sort of Instagram life, if you like, showing lots of behind the scenes of her work. And. And equally she. She's got a new ITV drama that's out and she wants to obviously promote it and she was recently up for going to various awards and things like that. And I guess, like what you can see here with Jenna or general Instagram, it's all very glamorous and beautiful, but she obviously has help getting ready. She has stylists, she has people who support time and it's really important to tag in those people and to tag in any of the brands because guess what? Some of them might want to work with you in future. Some of them might have gifted the dresses, some people might have gifted it to get ready and. Or supported her in getting ready. And it's really important to thank people for that. So here you can see her absolutely stunning outfit. She looks incredible and clearly a beautiful image. And then what she's done is she's put who the photo, the photographer was, so she's tagged them in. So again, they're much more likely to tag her back or reshade it. Michael Kors, obviously a famous fashion brand, and then she's put in her styling, who's assisted her, who did the makeup, and she's put anybody else who was involved, she's put that she went to the baftas. So again, that's got her a lot of engagement and people are a lot more likely to reply back to her and to re share her post off the back of the fact that she has tagged them in, whereas obviously before they might not have because they might not have known that maybe she was wearing that outfit or anything like that. So it is. It's just a really good opportunity. Opportunity to ac. Thank you and B gets more reach and engagement. Now, if I was her, one of the things that I would do is I would want to just keep on top of my social media and make sure I understood what was working for me. And so on the maybe dashboard, she can see what her best post is. If she knew, for example, that it would be a tagging post, AKA one where she tagged in her outfit and her team, that's what would start coming up here regularly. And then she can start doing it more often. She can also compare herself with maybe it might be a brand or it might be another celebrity, it might be someone else in her field, another actress, and she can start to see what they're doing on social media versus her so that she can make sure that she stays relevant, she stays on trend, she stays coming up in the relevant conversations to people as obviously being in the public eye and she's to make sure that she's got eyes on her at all times. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. I'd love to help.
