24 Hours in Biloxi Mississippi | Beau Rivage | Must See Do and Eat

In this 24‑hour travel vlog, Josh and Rachael Fillbrandt guide viewers through a whirlwind weekend in Biloxi, Mississippi. They start with lunch at Shaggy’s, a highly‑rated Gulf‑seafood restaurant, describing the outdoor heated patio, drink options, and a menu of oysters, crab claws, flounder, alligator tail, and a seafood platter. After the meal they check into the Beau Rivage casino‑hotel, noting its Bellagio‑style exterior, Gulf‑view StayWell room, bathroom amenities, in‑room coffee maker, large TV, and extensive storage. They explore the hotel lobby, hallway, and casino floor, highlighting MGM Rewards comps, free drinks, and a $100‑ish gambling session. Later they visit Fly Llama Brewing, the newest Biloxi craft brewery, sampling a sour “Ramble” and noting 31 tap flavors including seltzers. The vlog continues with a walk along the Biloxi boardwalk to the historic 1848 Biloxi Lighthouse, and a quick stop at the Tater Nut in nearby Ocean Springs, praising its potato‑flour donuts. Back at the Beau Rivage they dine at Coralines, an upscale Southern seafood restaurant, detailing appetizers (fried green tomato deviled eggs, crab cake), linguine, sweet‑potato soufflé, and a blackened New York strip, and declaring it one of the best meals of the year. Throughout they share practical tips (draft‑beer half‑price hours, lighthouse tour cost, parking, weather considerations) and encourage viewers to explore Biloxi’s many on‑site dining options, the casino, and nearby attractions before heading to New Orleans. The video ends with a call to subscribe and follow on social media.

Hey everybody, I'm Josh.
And I'm Rachael.
Come along with us over the next 24 hours as we see, do, and eat as much as we can in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Let's go! Welcome to Biloxi. I am super excited. We are at Shaggy's. It has been voted one of the best outdoor restaurants of dining in Mississippi. Mississippi for the last 4 years.
I think it was the number one.
I think it was too. I'm like, that is so impressive. It is known for its Gulf seafood dishes, incredible sunset views, and breathtaking views of the Gulf, which is pretty impressive. Uh, today's kind of chilly, so they have a covered outdoor patio with heat. Very warm up there. They also have a regular patio, an indoor bar, a lot of stuff. We ordered a lot of seafood. I'm starting off with a— I believe it's a white Peach sangria. Tastes nice and fresh. It's a, I think it was called a beach drink.
Yeah.
And I agree with it.
I ended up with a Chandelier pineapple wheat.
Yeah.
Which is nice and tasty. Prices are decent, but we are in a tourist area as you can see from this. But the heater is on and it is nice even though it is cold out there. That lady's got a winter coat on.
Yeah, there's definitely a fresh breeze feeling with the heat, so it kind of evens it out nicely, I think.
Yeah, and we have a lot of food coming.
We do have a lot of food.
All right, the apps are here. Dozen oysters, crab claws.
Yes, colossal crab claws.
They don't look like colossal, but you know.
Colossal is a little bit of a stretch.
They are US blue crab claws and they are fried at the recommendation of our waitress.
I'm gonna try them in some cocktail sauce. Mm.
We were just asking if you're supposed to eat the whole thing and it seems like a no, right?
Okay, I think I figured it out. Let me try another one. I think you bite it and then like use your teeth to pull out the rest. Okay. That's what we're gonna try. It seemed very fresh, but I did get part of the shell and that did not bode well. All right, that was much better. I mean, it's a nice fresh piece of crab. I really like it.
Yeah, it eats almost more like a fish than a crab.
Yeah, it does. I like it freshly cooked, freshly fried, and it's a light batter, not very thick at all. Almost like cornmeal batter.
Yeah, I really like it.
Of course, because Because we're in—
We're in the Gulf.
The Gulf. We're gonna have some oysters. We did have some last night, and I will tell you, they were divine. And these are just as big as the ones we had last night. A little cocktail sauce, a little horseradish.
That is not in a video if you're looking for it, but it was at Floribama.
Oh my God, so good. Raw oysters are one of our favorites, and this does not disappoint.
Mmm, that is good.
This is a good appetizer round.
Very good. All right, the appetizer round was awesome, and even better news, I just got a notification that our room is ready. We are headed over to Beau Rivage after we finish our entree, gonna get checked in. It is basically— it looks like a carbon copy of Bellagio.
It does, from the outside.
Yeah, but instead of having the fountains in the front like in Las Vegas, it has the Gulf behind it.
Yeah.
So, and I do think that I paid a little extra to get a Gulf view. Uh, now this is not a free room, but because Because of our casino comps in Las Vegas, we did get a discount, which was about half, so we spent about $200.
That's not too bad.
No. All right, so I did the reasonable order. I ended up with the fish of the day, which this is a redfish with a nice creamy Cajun sauce, some blackened shrimp, smashed potatoes. Looks delicious. And then Rachael got a—
I got the seafood platter for one.
Yeah, there's for two.
Gator bites, shrimp, fish fillets. I think there's some hush puppies, some fries. I don't even know what's all in there, but Josh looks like he's gonna have a diet, and then I'm just gonna overeat the fried foods.
There is some zucchini down here as well.
You got vegetables?
The reason why I got it is not the vegetables. I did get it for this fish, which is delicious. It's got like a nice blackened flavor to it, and that cream is so good with it.
I did sneak a french fry from that. Nice, hot, good fry. I like the seasoning on those french fries. That's gonna be a hard plate not to overeat.
Yeah? Alright, this plate is gonna be gone. Definitely the fish. We'll see if we have room for the potatoes after we eat all the fried stuff.
And the veggies. You got veggies.
Yes, I'll definitely eat the veggies. Don't you worry. But over here I do want to eat the shrimp. They look good. They have a lot of shrimp dishes. Like if you've seen Forrest Gump, that's basically what their menu looks like.
Yeah, it does look like the same batter as those blue crab claws. So I think that lighter batter.
Nice light batter. Very nice crispy outside. It's a little bit more crispy than the crab, which is probably good because the shrimp is, you know, a heartier meat.
Yeah.
Than a crab. I think that's delicious. They also— you don't have to do fried. I can't remember what all the other options were for this though. You didn't have to do all fried, but of course we did it.
Yeah, she said it was the way to go.
Yeah, we take recommendations.
We took the recommendation from our waitress.
And the tartar sauce is really good. I've been dunking like the claws.
The other nice part is they do have local draft beers on tap, and she was just telling us Monday through Monday through Friday, no matter if it's a holiday or not, all of those draft beers are half price from 3 to 6 PM. So if you're here at Shaggy's on a Monday through Friday, you should try that out. What do you think of that fish?
If you like a nice white fish, this flounder is delicious. It's very— it's perfectly done. Again, that cornmeal, nice light batter. It's delicious. I guess I gotta eat some gator.
You better do one more bite.
Yep, it is alligator tail meat.
I'm surprised you didn't dip it.
I gotta try it raw, or—
I think it's cooked.
Uncovered.
Yeah, something like that.
You know, tastes like chicken.
Uh, and again, look at this view. Even though it's kind of a gloomy day out here today, it's still very pretty. But we should probably dig in and then go check into our room.
Oh man, that was a lot of food.
That was a lot of food. I— that was the big thing I wanted to wrap up about is Even the servings that say for one, you can share.
Yeah, that that's crazy. The portion sizes are huge. The food was delicious.
It was great.
What was your favorite bite?
The raw oysters.
Those were fantastic.
They were good. What was yours?
Well, and to add to the raw oysters, everybody does them differently.
Yep.
We did lemon crystals, hot sauce, horseradish, and cocktail sauce. Best. We tried it with the saltine. It didn't need saltine. It was so good.
It was so good.
My favorite was the redfish. With that Cajun cream sauce.
Yeah, that serving alone with the veggies and the potatoes easily could have been shared. All of them. All of those servings could have been shared.
Check it out. Let's go to the hotel now and check in though. All right, welcome to Beau Rivage, which on the outside looks just like Bellagio. On the inside, it already looks quite different.
I agree, it looks a lot different.
Yeah, but we're going to try to get checked in and then show off our room. All right, I think instead of a large conservatory, they have this in their lobby area.
It's pretty.
It is pretty. We are here at the Year of the Horse display, it looks like. But we're gonna get checked in. Hopefully we get to look at more stuff later. All right, check-in was super easy, but I did want to be able to show this lobby off one more time. It's so beautiful. And like I had said before, this was part of an MGM Rewards offer with It's the same MGM Rewards as in Las Vegas and the rest of the country. And we have a Gulf view and it's a StayWell room, so let's go check it out. All right, I'm a big fan of hallways and this is a magnificent one. But here you are at Beau Rivage 19015. Hello, how are you? Good.
You should go to the right first, right inside the door.
To this.
To the toity, to the, um, what do you call that glass?
Frosted.
Frosted glass shower. They do have the separate shampoo, body wash, conditioner, which we don't mind at all.
That is like the exact same stuff we see in Las Vegas.
Yep.
Vitamin C water, so you can drink it.
The one thing I will say about this bathroom that I'm not a fan of right off the bat is I don't like having one sink. I prefer 2. But whatever.
One sink, no toilet room.
Yep. So hand wash, body lotion, and a nice deep tub. Does not look jetted, but it's a nice deep tub.
All right. I like the wallpaper. Wallpaper. That does look very nice.
It does look nice. Yeah.
All right. Rest of the room.
To the room. We have another open closet, which surprisingly has a wall safe, iron.
It does not open all the way.
Iron, ironing board. And a fridge so we can store our beers.
Nice to have. Yes, we did pack our own this time.
Um, multiple, multiple drawers. So 6 big deep drawers here, along with the thing we love— K-Cup Keurigs with coffee in the room and a couple bottles of water. Like, Beau Rivage just know what they're doing. Come on, Vegas! Come on, Vegas! A nice size TV. We don't do too much with that. A king-size bed with 2 nice— again, a lot of storage in here. Huge dresser drawers on each side.
And the outlets look pretty dang good.
Outlets look good. Um, awkwardly big seating.
It's like a couch that's cut in half.
Yeah, okay, good. Yes, that's what I was trying to get to. I'm like, it's like chairs with a table with a couch though.
We don't spend a lot of time sitting like that though.
And then again, part of the stateroom is this air freshener thing.
Purifier.
The cool part is, is we did get a Gulf view.
Yeah.
And a view of that lighthouse out there.
Yeah.
It's so pretty. Even gloomy on a gloomy day, it's super pretty.
Yep. The weather's not great. You can see we've got a view of the beach though. And that lighthouse is awesome. There is also the other lighthouse, the more famous one, way over there. And that weird-looking road which Rachael has ran on, and she said it was a hill.
It was a hill. Yeah, I do want to say too, there is many things in this hotel that remind me of the Bellagio, that remind me of MGM properties that we've stayed at in Vegas, but it does have its own feel. Like that artwork on the wall is totally Gulf. Like that is totally Mississippi right there. That is not something you would see in Las Vegas whatsoever.
It is. Yeah, it's a good-looking room. I really enjoy it.
I do too. I'm excited to stay here for tonight.
All right, what do you feel like right now?
Well, if you know us, you know we like to find craft breweries. So there's 2 options. We either gamble for a little bit and then go to the craft brewery, or go to the craft brewery and then come back and gamble. So we are here at Fly Llama Brewing here in Biloxi. It's the newest craft brewery in Biloxi, and it's within walking distance of our hotel, and the logo's cool. So I'm gonna give Ramble a try. Ramble's the sour on tap.
Yeah, we did do 7 different tasters. We'll see—
Oh man, that's really good.
Yeah?
I'm excited to try the rest of them because that's good. So they have 31 flavors on tap, 6 of those being seltzers, I believe. So that's still a very good variety of drinks to try, and they have— looks like 6 more coming.
More coming. But yeah, very cool place. All right, Fly Llama.
Fly Llama is a good little brewery. It is so good. We brought home some merch.
Yes. And someone wise once said, you can judge how good a brewery is by how much merch you buy. That was Rachael. Yeah.
So when you buy this equivalent of merch in the price of the equivalent of beers, that's a good day.
Yeah. Good selection, good service. It was a cool little environment. And there's Beau Rivage. So we can see it, so it must be close. Um, but yeah, the weather sucks.
Yeah, it's raining. Glad we brought our slickers.
We did. So we're headed back. We're probably gonna do a little gambling, and we have a nice dinner and a show tonight. Yeah, see you there.
Let's win a jackpot.
Oh man, that'd be good.
Freshened up for dinner. Can you tell?
It's the same clothes. But we're back at the Beau and we have some Floribama koozies that we bought last night.
With some room beers.
Yeah, there's no video proof of this, but we went there and then—
There might be a little video.
Maybe. It was a really cool bar. I don't know. If you haven't been. Yeah, but we have— what is this beer?
Abita Purple Haze I found.
Yeah. Inside joke. Have you ever watched our very first New Orleans video? That's what Rachel said.
Yeah.
So instead, Ibida, Ibida, Ibida.
Purple Haze. It's a raspberry lager.
It's fantastic.
It's fantastic.
And we're hoping to not get told we can't bring it on the casino floor. We don't know if it's free drinks or not.
Yeah, we don't.
But we got beers, so let's go win some money. Unlike a lot of Las Vegas buffets, this one seems to be thriving. Let's go do some gambling. I did a thing! $94.75. And Rachael did too, but not as much. All right, because Casino play, I am even.
I'm down about $100.
Not bad, not bad. Uh, so far the drink service is decent. They do comp drinks, which we've seen at other non-Las Vegas resorts don't comp drinks. So free Miller Lites. They don't have the greatest of selection, but we got them.
We'll take it.
Yeah, that's great. Yeah, by the way, if you don't like seafood, the Gulf Coast might not be the spot for you. Because we're gonna go have some seafood.
More seafood.
Yeah. All right, right next to our restaurant there is a BetMGM sports bar and a sportsbook. Looks very cool. There's a UFC fight going on tonight, so if you're interested in sports, check it out. All right, welcome to Coralines. This is the fancy southern seafood restaurant here at Beau Rivage, which is, according to what our research shows, it's about as fancy of a hotel as you can get in Biloxi.
Isn't it one of the largest in Mississippi?
I believe it's the tallest building in Mississippi and probably one of the largest casinos and hotels in the state.
It's crazy.
It is beautiful. We have not been able to go across all the grounds yet, but there is a ton of different restaurants, and this one is gorgeous.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Yeah, we just did— so we do have a show tonight in about an hour, so we're gonna rush through this a little bit. We did give our waitress a heads up and she is ready. We've already given our drinks, our apps made And dessert.
Yeah, this girl is on it. Like I said before in some other videos, some people get it, some people don't. Yeah, she gets it. She totally gets it.
Let's hope the food hits like the service already is. I started off with a little bit of a smoky whiskey drink. Can't go wrong with those. I love them all the time. They make them more mellow.
They do.
Yeah, that is very pretty. What do you got going on there?
I got a tequila-based I'm not sure, but it's in a pretty, pretty glass.
So it must be good.
It's got to be good.
Yes. Appetizers start off. This is fried green tomatoes. Look at this Creole sauce on top of it. There is some crab in there.
I think it's like stuffed fried green tomatoes, right?
Oh my, yeah, they're seafood stuffed fried green tomatoes. That looks delicious. And if we see deviled eggs on a menu, we're going to get them. We eat them.
Yeah, but there's only 5.
That's weird, right?
That's weird.
What do they do with the other eggs? That half egg.
I don't get it.
But it looks amazing. I think it's gonna be delicious. I'll tell you afterwards. All right, I gotta stop. There's like a crab cake in the middle of them.
Best crab cake I've ever tasted.
Yeah, with the fried green tomatoes. There's like andouille sausage, crawfish, this amazing sauce. It's so freaking delicious. And then the eggs are so simple but so good.
We've said many times, simple done right is perfection, and those deviled eggs are simple done perfect. They are fantastic.
So good.
If you can see, those plates are, uh, clean.
So there's a quote out there about, I wish that I knew that I was in the good life When I was living the good life, that's this dish.
It was like the first layer when I just ate the fried green tomato, I'm like, oh, that's good, right? But then we got to the crab cake with the fried green tomato.
Yeah, like this— we, we like to do an end of the year best appetizers, best meal. This is going to be in the running.
I agree.
If not the best. And we're in January. It's that damn good. It will make it to the end of the year.
But even the deviled eggs, those like balanced that dish. My God, so good. That is sweet potato. Thank you.
All right. A little bit of a thing going on there. This is the Coraline's Linguine. It's got some nice Cajun shrimp going on there. This is a corn— I don't remember what's about it, but it says charred corn. I don't remember. And it looks very good.
Yeah.
Here's a sweet potato soufflé, which he just poured some fancy sauce on. And—
The New York strip.
I think it's blackened.
Blackened with, uh, broccolini and potatoes.
That looks really freaking good. All right, this awkward angle so we don't get this girl behind us.
Yeah, every single angle has her in it, but yeah, you can see her forehead right now. It's weird.
All right, so we are going to Rodney Carrington and he says no recording, but Coraline's did And I thought that was fantastic. That was one of the best meals.
I agree. I mean, it's only the end of January and it's already one of the best meals of 2026.
Yes.
The only problem is we didn't order dessert.
We couldn't.
We couldn't. We were so full.
The dessert was too good, or the food was too good. We ate too much food. Um, yeah, I'm sure the dessert is great.
With the fried green tomatoes.
Wow.
So good.
Loved it. So glad we had it.
Uh, me too. The steak was good, the pasta was good, the sides were amazing.
Yeah, if you come here, you should check it out. There is a steakhouse, there is a noodle place, there is snacks, there's a bunch of different restaurants.
I think there's a taco place.
There's at least like a dozen places you could eat. Yeah, but loved it if you want a little bit more Southern classic stuff. All right, later. All right, good morning.
Good morning.
Uh, the weather is not great for us this trip, but unfortunately when you're only doing quick weekend trips, you get what you get.
You get what you get. We did read that the boardwalk here in Biloxi is supposed to have some of the most stunning views of the Gulf, so we're going to try to see what we can see today. Yeah, from our room, the views The views did not look—
No.
As amazing as I was hoping for.
It looked like a lot of fog.
Yeah.
But there is a cool little boardwalk. It goes to some lighthouses. We're gonna go check those out. Now we are not gonna have breakfast here today, but if you're a person who does like breakfast, even like a quick breakfast, we had heard about this place called the Tater Nut. It is in Ocean Springs. We stopped there just before getting into Biloxi yesterday.
Yeah, I think it was only like less than 10 miles from Biloxi.
Yeah, so while we start walking and finding our way to the boardwalk, we'll show you what that looked like in case you're a big donut fan. All right, welcome to Mississippi.
Yeah, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, right?
Yeah, we actually started our drive over in Pensacola but made our way here, and we need a snack before we get to Biloxi.
Yeah, we need a snack before lunch.
Yeah, we decided to stop in Ocean Springs. There's a place called the Potato Nut Shop.
Yeah, family-owned since 1960, making donuts from potato flour rather than all-purpose flour, which is supposed to be less gluten, makes them light and fluffy and delicious.
Yeah, so let's go try one. All right, back on the road.
Yeah, this is a strawberry glazed Tato Nut, and I did a maple.
It tastes like a good Yeah. Like donut. I don't know that it's—
Is it different than any other donut we've ever had?
I don't know.
I don't know that it is, but I mean, it's good.
But I think that the floor of donuts is very high, and this is that way. And I do hope that it is lighter in the end because of that potato. True.
It doesn't taste greasy or heavy or anything.
Yeah, don't not eat it because it's potato.
Right, I agree with that. That's pretty good.
Yeah, no, I mean, it's a good one. There you go, Tater Nut.
All right. Right across the street from the Biloxi Visitor Center, it's in the middle of the road. You'll see traffic going on both sides is the historic Biloxi Lighthouse. This was built in 1848, a historic cast iron landmark on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It is known for its resilience through hurricanes. And one of the most unique pieces of history of this is it had female keepers. A mother-daughter duo ran this lighthouse for over 50 years. There are guided tours daily. They're about $5 per person. And if I read correctly online, they're from like 9 to 10 in the morning. So very short window if you want to see it, but it's something you can't miss if you're driving through Boise.
I don't know if you would need a lot of time to go through it.
No, I don't think so either.
Looks like probably a staircase that spirals up.
Yeah, but that visitor center is beautiful too.
Yeah. Alright, we're back in our room. We are all packed up. This is a very short 24 hours.
Yeah.
Slightly less.
Slightly less than 24 hours.
Yeah. Um, but we are checking out of Beau Rivage. Do you want to say a little bit about the Beau?
So the Beau itself, it's the largest casino in Biloxi. I didn't know that. And the tallest building in Mississippi.
Yes.
That's crazy.
Yeah, this morning when we were walking back, the fog was actually covering the top floors of it.
Yeah, it was, it was very cool to see.
Yes.
It does have about 1,700 renovated rooms, most of them with a view of the Gulf, which is pretty cool too.
Probably about half, I'd guess.
Yeah, you're probably right. But the interesting part, I mean, it looks like a balcony on our room, but it You can't go out there. Can't go out there. So it looks like a balcony view, but it's really not a balcony view. Yeah. It is a very large casino at over 85,000 square feet.
That is big.
All the table games, all the slot machines, a poker room, a sportsbook.
This could easily be on the Las Vegas Strip and you'd never know.
Yeah.
Uh, it's, it's just that big, that nice. Tons of different games. We saw games this morning as low as $10.
The table games, yeah.
Yeah, uh, $10 minimum. But then last night I think it was probably around $15.25. Yeah.
The other part about this hotel is it is one you would never have to leave the property. The food options are immense. I think there's like 11 or 12 different options all the way from high-end steakhouses to— I saw snacks, um, I saw a little walk-up taco counter. Coffee shop.
I think there was like a— yeah, there might have been a crepe place. I could be totally wrong. But, and it's got all variety. It's got an Asian, it's Italian, steakhouse, seafood, All the, all the stuff that you need. You don't need to leave the property.
And for those of you missing it in Vegas, it has a buffet.
It does. And it looked like it was pretty popular last night.
Yes. And also it includes a spa, outdoor pool, shops, and of course, in true Bellagio or true MGM fashion, yeah, it had seasonal decorations. The lobby was gorgeous.
It was beautiful.
With the Chinese New Year decorations.
Yep. All right. On that note, we are headed to New Orleans. We might have a video already. So if you can't get enough of the Gulf, go ahead and check out New Orleans. We have a lot of food planned to eat.
We do.
And probably a few unique drinks there.
And a few unique experiences we haven't done before.
True. 2 very fun ones.
Yep.
