Brand New Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Bar Las Vegas

In this vlog‑style review, hosts Josh and Rachel explore the brand‑new Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Bar in Las Vegas. They describe the venue’s two‑level layout with live Nashville‑style music on both floors, a walk‑up seating system (first‑come bar seats, wait‑list for tables) and a no‑reservation policy. The duo samples a range of menu items, noting large portion sizes and reasonable pricing (all entrees under $25, drinks $16‑$17). Their favorites include the buffalo chicken dip with kettle chips, the wagyu sliders with bacon‑onion jam, a creamy mac‑and‑cheese topped with grilled chicken and panko, and a prime‑rib French‑dip sandwich with au jus. The pork belly tacos are highlighted as the least successful dish due to insufficient meat and overpowering slaw. They also review a strawberry margarita featuring chamoy, describing its sweet‑tangy flavor and striking appearance. Overall, they find the food generous, flavorful, and good value, while praising the authentic Nashville atmosphere and dual‑level music experience.

Hey everybody, I'm Josh and I'm Rachel, and we are suckers for Nashville and country music bars. So Jason Aldean's just opened up and they've got lunch.
We're gonna give it a try. Let's go.
All right, so we just checked in, uh, there is a little bit of a wait.
Yep, for a table. Bar seating is first come, first serve.
Right. And up on the second level, there's actually tons of space, but unfortunately all the food is downstairs.
Yeah.
And downstairs, it, it's a music venue.
Yeah, it's loud. It's very interesting though, because as we've mentioned before, we love Nashville, and this really does transport you right to Nashville. Like, this is a Nashville-style bar right here in Vegas.
And I like the fact, um, we've been to Ole Red also, But I like that it's 2 levels and there's music going on both levels. And that's the Nashville piece. At Ole Red, there's only one person and you have 3 levels to sit and watch.
Yep.
But I really like this. The venue is beautiful. It's brand new. Hopefully the food can match it. We got, we got a big order coming.
That's right.
All right.
I'm stuffed.
Yeah, portions were a lot larger than I think we expected.
Oh, hands down. I think they were ginormous.
Because the prices were very reasonable. Nothing we ordered was over $25, and all the entrees could be a full meal on their own. All right, but let's start at the beginning. So we ended up going with the buffalo chicken dip, which comes with kettle chips. I, I gotta guess that they make them in-house. They seem very Totally homemade.
They were delicious.
Yes, I was shocked. Like, in my brain I was like, I, I can make buffalo chip— buffalo chicken dip, but this was delicious.
It was really good. And at first I thought it was a little too runny, but it worked perfectly. Yeah, chunks of chicken, and then there was bacon on top too. Oh man, it was so good.
And like, normally I would want like a tortilla chip instead of a potato chip, but I think that because it was runny, it's almost like it soaked it up a little bit better this way.
Yeah, the kettle chip really worked well for it. Yeah, I enjoyed it.
Yeah, good, good level of spice to it. Not too hot, not too basic.
I think that we finished the whole thing.
We did. We also didn't know how big our entrees were, right?
That's true.
But yeah, I loved it. I would eat it again. I would recommend it.
Hands down.
All right, so then let's go with our least favorite entree first.
Tacos.
The tacos. Yeah, so they weren't good. They do pork belly tacos only on Saturdays.
Yep, and you get 3 to an order.
But there's just, there's not enough meat.
No.
And I actually ended up picking mine apart and just eating the baby strips of pork belly. There just wasn't enough there.
No, and the— I thought the—
With a big old pile of slaw.
Yeah, I was gonna say, I think the coleslaw and the peanuts overpowered it.
Yeah. It just wasn't—
it didn't hit for me.
You barely even notice that there is pork belly in it.
Yep.
So that was, that was unfortunate. Everything else was good.
Yeah.
So let's go to our next one. That we weren't— I think we were, we were happy with all the other 3.
We were.
But let's go with the sliders.
Yeah, sliders. Um, 3 sliders to an order and a huge order of fries.
Good-sized sliders too. Like, that's more than any burger you're gonna get.
Yeah, and the amount of fries was ridiculous, and they were really good fries.
The fries were good. We just didn't have room for fries for sure because of all the other stuff. The burger was, it was pretty simple. There's like an aioli, there's caramelized onions, or no, onion jam.
Bacon onion jam.
Bacon onion jam, there it is. Arugula, and it's on Nice soft bun.
Yeah, and it does say Wagyu sliders, and you could taste it. The meat was really tender. The burger was cooked great. I liked it. I added a little bit of ketchup to my second half only because I thought it needed a little bit more. I even could have done— so on the table they had ketchup, mustard, barbecue, and some salt and pepper, so you could have added any of the 3 if you needed.
Yeah, it says there's an aioli on it. Um, we just think there should have been a little bit more.
Yep. Otherwise, I really like this.
Yeah, I did too. All right, then my favorite. Yep, was the mac and cheese.
Oh, it's a standout.
I don't know how I missed it. I didn't even realize there was gonna be chicken on there. I was just thinking I was gonna get a big old plate of mac and cheese, and then there's some chicken in there. The cheese sauce is super creamy, delicious, good flavor to it. It is like a pepper jack, like beer bock is what it said.
Yeah, and that chicken had a nice char on it.
It did.
It was really flavorful.
I'm assuming they're grilling the chicken and slicing it up. Yeah, it was delicious. I liked— there was a Also a panko crust on top of it. That made it for me.
Yeah, it was a really good bite.
Yeah, I, I enjoyed it. I, I would definitely get that one again. I wish that, you know, maybe if we weren't so full, I probably could have used like a slice of bread because I just really wanted to sop up that cheese sauce. Yeah, it was that good.
We just, we like to try such a variety of things not knowing if we'll come back or not, and we overdid it on the variety of things today.
Absolutely.
But it's okay. And my favorite ended up being the— is it, they call it a prime rib sandwich? I would a French dip at home. It had some cheese and some onions on it as well. Provolone cheese. Perfectly soft bun that it's served in, and you get some au jus and a side of fries. Again, we didn't need that many fries, but everything just melted. I love a good French dip sandwich, and that just hit. Now, this isn't overpriced. It's not—
No, that was the most expensive item. It was $25, I think.
But you're also not going to get something that It's a— it's typical bar food, I guess you could say.
Yeah, but done well.
Done really well. Yeah.
Yeah, and, and I think that like where we were talking about, you could even split these. The wagyu sliders could probably be a meal for 2 if you're looking for a small lunch.
Yep, or just the prime rib.
Prime rib sandwich, same thing. Yeah.
That thing was huge.
Um, even like the mac and cheese was big. I know you said that you thought it was almost like one note, a little too much for you.
Like, yeah, after too many bites it Just became a little too repetitive. So I would have liked to— I— that's why I liked breaking it up with the meat that we had.
Yeah, overall I thought it was really good. Oh, drinks!
Yeah, our drinks.
Okay, you talk about yours and then I'll like— I got to go to therapy over mine.
Yeah, I got tattoos on this town and it ends up looking like a unicorn drink.
It does.
It's got the magic dust on the side that makes your teeth or your tongue numb, and that really does work.
My tongue's not blue, I was checking.
But it was a really good drink. Again, reasonably priced. I think they were $17 and $16 or something like that. So for Vegas Strip, that's reasonably priced.
Yeah, especially for a brand new spot with live music. Yeah, my drink ended up being like a strawberry margarita, but that's not the tough part. So it comes out and it's got this like glue that looks like a— not glue, but goo. It, it looked in my brain like it was ketchup smeared on it and it was brought out, but there was tahini on it. So obviously it's not a dirty glass.
Yeah.
And it was like too pretty done. So then we had to look up what this was. I think it's called chamoy.
Yeah.
Which neither of us knew what that is. Which apparently it's a Mexican condiment that has like— runs the gamut on flavor profile. But we were just relating it—
It's like Mexican ketchup.
Yeah, we were relating it to ketchup. And so I was like, now I just can't drink it.
And by the end of the drink, it did start drizzling down the side of the glass and looked like ketchup.
Yeah, so it— I thought it tasted great. I was It was delicious. Yeah, until I knew that thing. So if you're gonna try it, put that out of your brain, or hopefully you just love licking ketchup off glasses.
Now also, they do not take reservations, at least not at this time. So you do walk up, get seating. Bar seating is first come, first served on the main level. That's the dining room level. If you want a table, you have to be put on a waitlist. It took us like 10 minutes on an 11 o'clock on a Saturday, but I'll tell you, in that hour we've been eating, it's now packed.
Yeah, in here. Yeah, so there's probably some footage of me up here on, on the top bar from the beginning where there was nobody up here.
Yep.
But that's what's cool is that there's, there's 2 levels of music. So if you don't like the music downstairs, go to the music upstairs, which is what's so cool about Nashville. Like every bar has like 2, 3 different levels with 2, 3 different performers.
Yep.
So it's, it's bringing more of a Nashville feel to like the bars that we like to go to in Nashville.
Yeah, I agree. Yes.
All right, well hopefully that helps you decide whether you should come Welcome to Jason Aldean's Bar and Kitchen.
Kitchen and Bar.
Kitchen and Bar.
We should go find another cocktail.
Yeah, we're gonna go get some— go get some more drinks and chill out on the second level here and listen to music.
Yeah.
