Huge Portions at Grand Lux Cafe for Breakfast on the Las Vegas Strip

In this YouTube vlog, hosts Josh and Rachael Fillbrandt visit the Grand Lux Cafe located on the Las Vegas Strip (Venetian casino). They note that the restaurant is always open and consistently busy, even at 9 AM on a Saturday without a reservation. The video walks through the extensive menu, highlighting breakfast items priced between $15‑$30 and cocktails around $17‑$20. They order a variety of dishes to showcase the famously large portions: biscuits & gravy topped with fried chicken tenders, a breakfast sandwich on brioche, chicken tenders (an upcharge), French toast (kids’ size), and a waffle with maple syrup. Throughout the tasting, they comment on texture, flavor, and shareability, emphasizing that the portions are generous enough to split among several people. The total bill comes to about $90 for six people, which they deem a good value given the food quality and service. The hosts conclude that the busy atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and sizable dishes explain the cafe’s popularity, and they encourage viewers to like, subscribe, and follow them on social media.

Hey everybody, I'm Josh.
And I'm Rachael.
And today we're going to a restaurant where in the 2 times we've been at Venetian, there's 2 things that come to mind. One, it's always open, and 2, it's always busy.
We're gonna check out Grand Lux Cafe. Let's go. I think we're on a casino floor.
Yeah, we do like to talk about how a lot of times restaurants, yeah, transfer us into a different area.
Not the Grand Lux Cafe.
No, Grand Lux is busy, it's loud. We do have microphones, so hopefully you can hear us.
I will say though, we didn't have a reservation and it's 9 AM on a Saturday. And we were able to get seated right away.
Yes, it is busy though. Yeah, but let's— the menu is gigantic. They do have breakfast cocktails that are fuzzy. There you go. They start around $17 up to $20. And then there is a huge breakfast. Looks like around $15 to $30 for different items. You got some Benedicts, pancakes, waffles, French toast. Your juice is $7 to $9, and you've got a bit of Everything in the entree portion.
It is a big menu, but what I'm looking at is it's not— it's for the whole day because the breakfast menu is only one page.
Yeah, I turned the next and this is more for your 11 AM to midnight. And then they also have— well, we're still going 11 AM to midnight here, but they do have a late night which is like after midnight until 6 AM. Heck, they have pasta and noodles here. You can get pretty much everything, even steak apparently.
Yeah.
Not for breakfast though. And then here's your late night menu, which is still large. But we are here for breakfast, so we only have the one page, and I'm okay with that. So here's one more look over this so you can take a look if you are interested. We're probably gonna get at least 2 to 7 dishes.
I would say 2. I hear the portions are big.
Well, maybe more than 2.
Maybe 3.
We'll see.
One of the things we had heard here at Grand Lux Cafe is the portion sizes are huge. I did the biscuits and gravy. I think there's 2 eggs on here over medium, and then I added fried chicken, which ended up being 4 chicken tenders on top of it. Like, that's a huge amount. Also served on top of smashed fried potatoes.
Now, is that sausage or is that That's the gravy. Yeah, this part?
Yep.
Okay.
And the biscuits aren't smothered in them, they're just there. I think you're meant to like kind of mash it all up. So that's what we're gonna do.
Yeah, it's a huge portion.
Absolutely ginormous portion. And we just ordered more because why not?
We did. I don't know if we'll eat all of it.
Very classic sausage flavor. The biscuits are actually nice and soft, not too dry.
At all.
Egg is perfect to my liking. I wish there was more gravy, less sausage, but I mean, that's a personal preference. And I don't know what I'm gonna do with these chicken tenders.
I might have to ask for some barbecue sauce or something.
Um, but it's, it's a huge portion, definitely shareable for the— I think it was like $20-ish.
It might help when you break that egg yolk too, like just get a little moisture in there.
Yeah.
Now the chicken tenders were an upcharge.
Yeah, but I thought, oh, that's a good idea.
Yeah, why not?
Why not? They're hot. Great chicken tender, like phenomenal chicken tender.
Really?
Okay. Nice light batter, moist tender breast meat in there, and it is cooked hot. Like, I'm serious, gonna ask for some dipping sauce because that is, that is the star of this dish right now.
Nice. Yeah.
Okay.
I love the biscuits and gravy, but the star is the added-on chicken.
All right, and I was torn between the quesadilla and the breakfast sandwich, but I'm a sucker for breakfast sandwich. You can see this is on nice grilled brioche bread. There is some ham, some bacon, some eggs, some tomatoes, some mayo, and I believe it was Havarti.
I also like— he got hash browns that look super crispy, which—
yeah, that's—
I'm a huge fan.
They do look really nice.
And again, this place is packed, and these portion sizes are huge. This is easily a shareable option.
This is delicious. I really love that bread.
Good.
It's got that nice crispiness on the outside, very soft on the inside. First bite was a lot of egg, um, but I'm going to try to get a little deeper in there.
And the eggs were just scrambled. They're not cooked to order or anything special that round, right?
No, it's just a nice soft scramble. It's delicious. I mean, if you're an egg sandwich person, I highly recommend checking this out.

Breakfast dessert incoming.
Yeah.
So this is the kids' order of the French toast. Because we were pretty sure the adult order would be too big.
Yeah, we did say, can we get half a portion? And they said, we have a kids one.
I don't know how this isn't too big. It's ginormous.
Yeah, I did ask if kids get— can finish it.
I would say it's easily like 3 inches thick.
It's something like that.
But it looks like squishy.
The waitress did say that some kids finished the order.
It's got a nice caramelized crust on it. It's nice and soft and fluffy. It's not too dense at all for French toast.
Is it dry? Sometimes the really thick ones—
okay. This is one of those that's really, really good. It almost has a texture in here of underbaked.
I think sometimes there's like a custard or something.
Or maybe a custard, but yeah, it's really tasty.
Okay.
I was skeptical we're ordering more, but I'm okay with that.
All right, and so we couldn't decide between a waffle and French toast, so here's a waffle. You can do strawberries for an extra $2, but we just like maple syrup and butter generally.
Yeah, is that butter soft, like spreadable?
It is spreading.
Okay, good.
But it's not the most spreadable.
I was afraid it was cold the way it held its shape when it came out.
Yeah.
I do think the syrup has some melted butter in it. I say that because of the French toast pieces of it, but—
So take your heart pills.
Yeah.
All right, here's a big bite.
Get your exercise in. And both were served with a dusting of powdered sugar as well.
It's fantastic. Nice crispy on the outside, even through all that syrup that I poured on it. I don't know if there's extra butter on there or if it's just the butter I added. It's a very nice buttery flavor. The maple syrup is— it's good. It's not overpowering, but it's a decent amount.
Yeah.
And yeah, I, I think this is the way that I would like to do it rather than like whipped cream and strawberries, but you could do that. Yeah, that was a lot of food.
It was a lot of food.
For a very good price. I mean, we were still $90, food for probably 6. Legit easy.
And I would like to say, like, we do not suggest you order like us. We are trying to show you a variety of options because at the— especially at Grand Luxor, Cafe, all of those portions shareable. Yeah, even the kids' French toast. Like, if you were hungry for something a little sweet, get that kids' French toast. I think it was $13.95. Yeah, you can share it between 2 others and have some steak and eggs or biscuits and gravy, whatever. Um, for me personally, I found my combo and I should have just ordered it that way from the beginning had I known. I want chicken and waffles. That chicken was so good.
I agree. I think chicken and waffles would have been the perfect combination. It's got that salty, the, the fried, the sweet. The, the waffle ate much lighter than the French toast, I thought.
And you really liked that waffle.
You ended up eating most of it. I finished mine. The French toast got a bit heavy.
It did before you bit into it, but it was really good.
Yeah. Anyway, Grand Luxe Cafe, I can understand why you're busy all the time. The price was right, the food was good, the service was great.
