Is This the BEST CHINESE Restaurant on the LAS VEGAS STRIP?

In this YouTube food vlog, hosts Josh and Rachael Fillbrandt visit Jasmine, a Chinese restaurant inside the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip. They begin by describing the restaurant’s location—windows that overlook the Bellagio fountains and the synced music that plays inside. After a brief wait for a window seat, they sample a series of dishes: a crispy soft‑shell crab appetizer, XO green beans, salted‑fish chicken fried rice (noted for its strong fish‑sauce aroma), walnut prawns in a light mayo‑based sauce, and fried sea bass with a large central bone. They comment on flavors, spiciness, saltiness, and texture, noting the contrast between dishes. For dessert they try a coconut‑served crème brûlée with mango puree and pineapple sorbet, then receive a complimentary golden strawberry dessert (strawberry mousse inside white chocolate). Throughout they praise the service, the view, and the overall dining experience, concluding that Jasmine offers one of the top Chinese meals on the Strip and encouraging viewers to visit, like, subscribe, and follow them on social media.

Hey everybody, I'm Josh.
And I'm Rachael.
And tonight we're coming to you from one of the finest dining Chinese restaurants here on the Strip.
Jasmine.
Yeah, we're at Jasmine here at Bellagio.
We've been wanting to try this one, so let's go see what we can find.
Yeah, we're— we are waiting right now to see if we can get a window seat, so hopefully we can show you a good show as we're eating.
That's right, let's go.
Here we go.
Hold on, just let us escape and fly away tonight. We have the world in our sight, and I know together we'll be alright. Can you see forever we will go?
All right, lots of seafood tonight. We are starting off with soft shell crab for the appetizer. I don't even know that I'm gonna use my chopsticks.
Oh. Are you okay with that?
Yeah. Um, I've never actually eaten soft shell crab outside of sushi, which it's usually in a roll and I'm just like, okay, I'm gonna eat it all.
It's very crispy looking.
Yeah, it's a very light batter. You can see that.
Oh my God, I love it.
I do too.
Oh my gosh. So you know what else I love? And this is something we do at home. The plates they brought us out to eat them on are warm.
That's true.
It's so like homey.
This is so much saltier than I expected. Yeah, it's delicious, but it's like a great salty. I hope that this microphone is picking up this crunch.
Me too. That's so good. I don't know what to say about that, guys.
It's like It's, it's not like eating regular crab.
No.
Um, so much more of it is the, the shell itself. Uh, but it's so good. Somebody's getting that.
Hold on, I was gonna say, P.S., we did not get the duck, but someone just did. Right.
Um, if you want to see us get duck at one of these places, check out Monterey 2 or Wing Lake. They do have a duck that's tableside presentation here. We decided to go, uh, very seafood forward this time though.
Oh, and the view. Yeah.
Okay, so I will say this is the furthest out on the lake that any of the restaurants are.
That's true. There's no patio.
No, there's not a patio, but it is windows. So we, we waited about 20 minutes to be able to get on the lower section, which is the closest, and you can actually see it's very close to the water. Um, but like, as I look off to the left Like, I don't even see the Mayfair. I don't see Lago. They're, they're way back a bit. So if you want the furthest, furthest down on the lake, this is going to be it.
And Josh may have said this already, but they are piping in the music every time the fountains go off, so you still get to hear the same show that's going on outside.
Yeah, it's actually pretty awesome.
Very cool.
All right, main course is here. We did end up doing 4 different dishes. We got the XO green beans, we've got salted fish and chicken fried rice, which the guy did kind of try to talk us out of.
He did try to talk us out of it. Not kind of, he really tried to talk us out of it.
He was unsure. He even made us smell it as it came in because he was like, this, it's pretty stinky. Um, but we did want to try it.
We also got some walnut prawns and fried sea bass, right?
Yes. Gotta love that stuff.
I'm gonna go for the one that—
yeah, you are too. Yeah, she's gotta be doing the same thing. Okay.
As the waiter said, it does not smell good. If you've ever had fish sauce, and that's what he related it to, I like fish sauce in food. The smell is horrid.
It can be funky.
Yeah, but the flavor is really good. It's a really— I don't want to call it basic because it's not, but it's a very classic— classic is probably a better word. Sure. Fried rice.
He also was saying like it's almost like a blue cheese. You either love it or you hate it kind of thing. I enjoy it. Um, it's like super salty, like overly salty when you do get that fish, but I think it's very good.
Which that pairs nicely with what we just had, that crab, right? That was super salty too.
All right, so I'm going with the sea bass. He did say with the sea bass that there is a large bone in the middle. He did cut it out for us. I'll go ahead and insert that clip right now.
And I'm doing the green beans. XO green beans, right?
XO green beans.
Are they supposed to be spicy? Because they are.
I have not thought of them that way, but—
Oh my God, the green beans are cooked great. They're like fresh green beans. The spice is burning my lips. Really?
Yeah. Oh, there is some. Holy smokes.
Yeah, it caught me off guard actually.
Yeah, I was not anticipating that, but I I do like it. Keep some water on hand.
I was gonna say, hot. So I just tried the fried sea bass next to it. Very meaty fish. The fried crisp on that outside is great. It totally downplays the spice on the green beans, so it's a perfect combination.
Yeah, so the— yeah, the green beans, it's a great side. With a strong flavor to it.
Very strong. And as we've said on many things, none of these flavor profiles are the same, which is what I'm loving about this. Like, it all tastes different. You, you have the very classic fried rice, then that fried sea bass that offers a little bit different flavor, and then the spice of those green beans that just bites you. You must be having some bones.
Sorry about that. Yeah, there are bones in them, but yeah, very different flavors. Um, have you tried the walnut shrimp?
No, I was going for next. They're huge. These shrimp are huge.
Yes, I love the look of them. Very big.
So the first time I've had walnut prawns was Rainbow Kitchen, right? I think that was the first time I've had walnut prawns, and I told Josh when we were looking at the menu, I really want to try these ones. They're delicious. Those shrimp are huge.
Uh, there's like a mayo sauce to it, so if you're not a fan of mayo, um, it doesn't eat like mayo but is a mayo-based sauce. It's very good. It's lightly, lightly fried, which we say all the time.
I got such a big bite and that was after getting half of it. Like, they're huge.
Yeah, these are very large, which is good though. And I do like the, the walnuts are candied. So they play well with it.
Yeah, they do.
Yep, this is good.
Very good.
For dessert, there is a crème brûlée inside of a coconut with a mango puree and a pineapple sorbet. Looks really good.
Presentation is beautiful.
That's a good-looking dessert right there.
Yeah, yeah.
Um, and then Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is playing overhead.
Which I was gonna say, which means there must be a show coming up.
All right. Well, you go ahead and try that crème brûlée, and I'll try the sorbet.
Okay. I know you probably can't hear it, but there is a little bit of a crunch on there.
A little bit.
This was also recommended by one of the waitstaff.
Sorbet is very palate cleansing. I'll say that.
Is it?
I was going to do it with a little bit of the as you should. That mango puree is like. Very strong and rich.
Whoa. Yeah, that mango puree is like—
It's a great topping for a not basic, but a very simple sorbet.
Yeah, you don't want it on a very flavorful, but maybe like a vanilla or even this pineapple sorbet. That's really good.
He did say that you can eat the coconut. I'm gonna choose not to.
It's a texture thing. I think this is a good dessert. It's very palate cleansing. It doesn't feel heavy.
It is.
Which is what we needed after that meal because it was pretty heavy.
Yeah, we didn't make it all the way through our rice, but this is definitely a very simple but great flavor dessert.
Agreed.
Great way to end it.
That's right.
Oh my gosh. This is on the house. Oh, thank you. Golden strawberry with the strawberry mousse inside. Oh, white chocolate surrounding, all eatables.
Really?
Chocolate? Even this one?
Yeah. Oh, beautiful. Thank you. That's the other one I wanted to try.
So our waiter did see us doing this video and he actually just brought us another dessert.
Yeah, you guys gotta check this out.
All right, it moves.
I'm gonna put that back down. And let Josh insert some footage. Here, let me give you some light.
Yeah, give me some light on that one.
It looks so pretty.
It is so pretty. It looks like a strawberry.
It does.
Just a giant strawberry.
Okay.
All right, so we're gonna go ahead and cut into this extra piece.
Ready?
Oh yeah, cut that.
Did you hear that crack?
I did.
Oh, look at that. Oh, and those are chocolate crumbles. This is gonna taste like a chocolate-covered strawberry.
Oh my gosh, yeah, it is.
How is it?
So it's like a strawberry mousse on the inside, chocolate or white chocolate on the outside.
With a chocolate crumble. Oh, there's something else inside there.
All right, it's a little dark, but it's lighter than I thought it was going to be.
Yeah, I was waiting. That's why I didn't want to say anything.
I expected it to be a heavier mousse along with a heavier white chocolate, but it's definitely not.
No, it's delicious. So good. These desserts are fantastic. The whole meal was fantastic. Let's just say that.
It's just— get them all. All right, we just wrapped up here at Jasmine. What'd you think about that?
I, I'm gonna have to say it, it may not hit the top one so far, but it's gonna hit, it's gonna hit top meal. Yeah, one of the top meals.
Definitely the best experience that we've had. Yes, uh, great service, great location, great scenery. You know, the, the fountains are right out there. They also, they play the music in there, but they don't blare it.
No.
So it's not like all up in your face kind of stuff. Um, that was great. What'd you think was your favorite dish of the night?
Uh, it's gotta be the soft-shell crab. It was like so salty and crispy. I wanted more.
Yeah.
I really did.
I thought that was my favorite savory dish.
Yeah.
But ending on that strawberry. Thank goodness for our waiter.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
Um, it was awesome.
He saw us recording and actually brought us An extra dessert.
Yeah, we'll take it.
Super appreciative, and it was so good.
Yeah, um, what was your favorite? Your savory was the soft-shell crab.
I just said mine too.
Sorry.
