What can you get for $100 at a Las Vegas Food Court?

In this YouTube episode, hosts Josh and Rachael Fillbrandt test a $100 resort food credit at the Village Street Eateries area of the New York, New York food court on the Las Vegas Strip. They sample four main items: a fish‑and‑chips platter from Fulton Fish Fry ($14.95‑$15), two foot‑long chili dogs ($7.95 each), a pepperoni‑and‑jalapeño pizza slice with a Busch Light beer ($10.95), and the “New York Sky High” cold‑cut sandwich from Greenberg Deli ($14.95). Throughout the video they comment on portion size, price, texture, and flavor, noting that the fish is decent but not outstanding, the chili dogs are flavorful but lack a crisp snap, the pizza is a solid budget option despite a soft crust, and the deli sandwich is their favorite for its fresh sliced meats, coleslaw crunch, and balanced Thousand Island dressing. After tallying the purchases they have spent about $83.27, leaving roughly $16 of credit. They discuss other nearby attractions (dueling pianos, a closed crepe shop, a s’mores bar, coffee shop) and recommend returning to Greenberg Deli. The video ends with a call to subscribe and follow on social media.

Hey everybody, I'm Josh.
And I'm Rachael.
And we just checked into New York, New York. It's late at night, we have no reservation, and we want to check out some quick bites that we can grab for pretty cheap.
See how many we can get tonight. Let's go!
All right, so Rachael's got $100 in food credit, so we're gonna see how much we can get down here in the Village Street Eateries. We're gonna eat in the deli here. So far, Fulton Fish Fry, I believe it was about $15. I'll put the price up though. So you can see, like, check this out. That's a monster. Lots of fish. We got 2 chili Chili dogs, which we did not realize they were both footlong, so that's an oops on our part. Um, but yeah, you can see those are footlong hot dogs. And then this is the New York Sky High here at Greenberg Deli. Check this out. So that has corned beef, pastrami, turkey, coleslaw, and Thousand Island dressing. My gosh, check. It's a monster. I love it. Oh, and Rachael also got us 2 drinks and she's getting a pizza right now. I'm holding down the fort. It's a good start. All right, so like I was saying, Rachael's got $100 in food credit. We're maybe only gonna be here a night. We're not sure if we're gonna stay tomorrow night and we got other plans for eating, so we might as well use it all right now, right?
Yeah.
So at this moment, we have 3 beers, Because the pizza and beer is like $10.95. Yeah, so is that a PBR?
Uh, Busch Light.
Busch Light, even better.
Even better. Yes, this is the only option you get.
We still have money for dessert at this point. So we got, uh, Kona Big Wave, Heineken, Busch Light, slice of pizza, fried fish, chips, 2 footlongs. 2. 2. That was, that was an oops. Uh, I, I thought there's no way that they're both footlongs. Because it's like the same price for a regular footlong.
Yep.
All right, well, we got that, and then we've got the sandwich.
And then this— what is it called again? The New York Sky High or something like that?
This is the New York Sky High. It's got corned beef, pastrami, turkey.
Coleslaw, Thousand Island dressing.
Yes.
And the— there was a choice of bread, so I, I asked what was the favorite, and they went— they told me marble rye.
All right.
So that's why I went with that.
So the one that we're gonna go with first, and we're still under $100, right?
I'm pretty— if we're not, it's right close. I would bet quick math I'm at 80, 85.
Okay.
We'll see if I'm right after this. I'll add it up.
Starting with the fish and chips. These actually look pretty good and they're nice and crispy. I'm gonna go ahead and dunk.
It sounds crispy still.
It is.
That was probably the one that took the longest to get, right?
It did, yeah. Um, like the sandwich was actually much faster.
Yeah.
Um, this is good. It's crispy. It's not like The best piece of fish I've ever had, but I don't feel like I'm gonna get sick from it.
Well, let's hope not.
For a walk-up joint, you know.
Yeah, I have to say New York, New York has come through on the stuff you're getting on that you can just walk up to.
So I can actually see the steam still coming off of that.
And it's been a while.
It's been a few minutes. Yeah, now I would say it's good if you're, if you're a fan of like fried fish. I could see doing it. And actually the price wasn't that bad. No, it was $15.
Yeah, $14.95 for the fish and chips. I thought I saw some seasoning on those fries. Is there?
There's some. It's not the most aggressively seasoned, but I— what I like about it is it's almost like it's got that double fry effect. Oh yeah, you know where you've got the— I mean, these aren't hand-cut, I don't think.
No, I'm sure they're not.
But you can see there's a little bit of extra crispies on the outside.
Okay. Yep.
Yeah. So those are good. I think for the $15, that's a full-on meal right there.
Yeah.
All right, should I try a hot dog here?
Yeah, I think you get to bite into the footlong, even though I'm the chili dog fanatic. Like, I love chili dogs. Again, a footlong chili dog, it was $7.95. So 2 chili dogs was the same price as the fish and chips.
Yeah, there you go. If you want to save some money, you can definitely do it right there. Yeah.
It is— looks like a bean chili with some cheese on top.
I was gonna say, I'm gonna give it a little ding because of the beans.
Yeah, but that's just a personal preference. That's not anything more than that.
The bun is nice. It's actually softer than I was expecting. The hot dog does not have a bite to it, unfortunately.
Oh, dang it.
So I usually like a nice crispy outer—
Like a nice little snap to it.
Yes, there's, there's no snap in that dog. Um, there's a decent amount of flavor in the chili though.
He's going for a second bite, so it can't be that bad.
It's not the most standout you're gonna find, um, but it'll hit the spot if you're going for a chili dog.
I'm, I'm still going with the fact that the 2 chili dogs— sorry, the 2 chili dogs were the same price as that. So I mean, again, if you're wanting some cheap walk-up eats, so far so good.
You're looking at that $10 to $15 price point actually in Vegas.
That's pretty dang good. That's pretty dang good, yeah.

That's right, because at the pizza place here at New York, New York, any slice, it's an any slice. So I chose pepperoni with jalapeños, one of our favorites, and a Busch Light for $10.95. Again, that $10.95 price point. So all right, it's a nice little flop.
Hopefully there's some crispy. So I'm assuming that this is one of those where it's set out and you— they reheat it in the moment.
They did not reheat in the moment. They just flopped it on my little plate and handed it to me. It's still warm. It's not hot by any means.
Okay, but maybe it would have benefited by being thrown in the oven.
Yeah, I will tell you what, that whole tip of that pizza had a bunch of pepperoni on it. I don't know if you need the jalapeños because the pepperonis themselves were pretty spicy.
It does look like there's a decent amount of topping for a budget place.
For a budget place, and it's a good piece of pizza.
Sure, I mean, pizza's pizza.
It does have a flop. It's not crispy on the bottom. There's no crunch. As you said with the hot dog, it's not going to win any awards, but if you're going for a cheap walk-up eat at New York, New York, I mean, that's a damn good deal. I, I don't even care that it's Busch Light.
Yeah, $11 for a beer and a piece of pizza, it, it really would be probably enough for a lot of people.
The nice part is it's a cold Busch Light. They even put a little lid on it so you can't smell.
So it's from the tap. They didn't crack a can.
They did not crack a can. This is actually Tap beer.
I will say—
I don't know how I'm gonna eat this.
I gotta say, this is— this definitely looks like the winner. Yeah, just from the looks.
$14.95 for the sandwich. So the sandwich itself is only $14.95, and it comes with a pickle. Okay, so I'm gonna try.
Oh yes, you can do this.
Okay.
Do it from the side so we can watch. That's, that's a good attempt right there. I feel like it's gonna fall apart some.
I do too. Um, but I'm gonna tell you, pretty sure they sliced the bread right there as I ordered the sandwich. The meat seems fresh sliced.
Yeah, we saw him slicing.
So that's all made fresh. I would say out of all these ones, this is the winner. Yeah, and I'm not much on cold cold sandwiches, especially at dinner in Vegas, but I'm gonna tell you, this is a damn good sandwich. That is a very good sandwich.
Yeah, I can't wait to try that one.
Yeah, I'm gonna probably save this for last because it is a cold cut sandwich, but I'm telling you what, you can taste the softness of the bread. That meat is just— you can taste that fresh deli meat in there. It has coleslaw, which is nice and got a nice crunch in it, which helps add to that Texture piece. And then the Thousand Island dressing, not overly powerful Thousand Island dressing, but you can taste that zing as well. I'm, I'm going with this is the winner.
Do you want to try your hot dog to prove it? Well, sure, because it's a hot dog. Yeah, because I have a feeling even though we might have some money left, we might not make it to a dessert after this much food.
Agreed though, that's a good chili dog. Nice flavor to that chili. It's not bland at all.
It's actually got a little bit of kick to it as well. The chili definitely brings all the flavor.
Yeah, the bun is soft. It's not hard. I, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, but I'll tell you, the deli sandwich is my favorite on first bite.
All right, well, we're gonna keep eating and then we'll give you our final thoughts after this, and we might have dessert.
Might.
Because we might have money to spend. All right, that was a lot of food.
It was. Total right now of the $100 we have for free credit, or a resort credit, $83.27. So we have a little over $16 left.
Yeah, so $83.
All that food.
That was a ton of food. Of those 4 places that we ate at, that which are the main walk-up ones, The crepe place is actually not open. I actually didn't know that it wasn't open after 2 PM.
Yeah, because that was one thing I kind of wanted to try.
We were intending to, but thank goodness we couldn't do it right now. But of those ones, which of, which of them would you do again?
I'd go back to Greenberg Deli. I really like that, and my problem was I wasn't expecting to. It was the one when we were— we talked about doing this video that I was thinking, I don't want to do that. I don't want a cold sandwich for dinner, but man, I inhaled that sandwich.
Right?
Like, it was good.
Like, it seemed like it was gonna be the most simple.
Yeah.
Um, but I easily— the sandwich was my favorite as well.
Yeah. Um, for the best deal, do you think there's one of the 4 that was the better deal?
The pizza was a good deal, but the chili dogs were probably the most amount of food.
Yeah, that's true.
Um, that was a lot of food. For $15.
I agree. And again, all of that food we showed you for $83, that's crazy. Yeah.
And I, I want to reiterate about the fish. Like, I thought it was, it was good.
Yeah.
Um, it just wasn't— it didn't have the most flavor for me. So I— if I was craving fish, fried fish, I could see doing it again because it's a decent price. It's a big slice. You get a lot of food. All of them, I felt like they were all a good amount of food for the price.
I agree, completely agree with that. And the other cool part is down here in this Village Street Eateries area, if you get here at the right time, you actually get to listen to dueling pianos as well.
Yeah, they're going on right outside there.
It's a really cool place, and it's a high-traffic area, so if you like to people watch, there's other restaurants around that you can actually sit down and eat at. I really enjoyed this.
Yeah. Um, now if you want to spend your $16 somewhere else, there's a s'mores bar. We thought about doing that.
We might be doing that.
If the crepe place was open, that's another one.
Yep.
Um, that's probably what we would end up—
Or the little coffee shop around the corner.
Yeah, and they've got cake pops and they've got, you know, we might end up having that for breakfast, but yeah, not enough room for it to be dessert. So there you go. If you want to know what you can get for $100 here in the New York, New York area. area, um, and it's pretty dang good.
It was pretty dang good.
All right.
Surprisingly good.
