In this video, I'm going to show you how to take an article that you wrote using Make Media and sprinkle a little bit of SEO pixie dust on it so that you rank a lot faster, quicker. First, I'm going to switch into my SEO hat. Now in your Make Media account, just go to the completed content section and go to the article that you want on your website and then just copy it and paste it onto WordPress or whatever tool you're using to get your content published. Next, go to the About section and copy the keywords that you're targeting. Now let's make some edits. Here's the article that I pasted into WordPress. I also use an SEO plugin called Rank Math that helps me with a red, yellow, or green light to optimize it for the SEO. I want to get this score here as high as possible. Over 80 means it's ready for publishing. Quick timeout. I'm using WordPress for this demo, but you can use HubSpot, Squarespace, Wix, any tool that you currently use to publish your website. The content that you get from Make Media is ready to go right out of the box. It's already optimized in terms of content. All we're doing in this video is adding a few final touches like images, links, and a few tweaks to some of the words. That's about it. And you can do all of those regardless of the website tool you're publishing. Back to the demo. The first thing I'm going to do is add the keywords. It shows me my score has gone from 12 to 24. So let's take a look at what's happening. The basic SEO section tells me that I've got a couple of issues that I should fix very quickly. And these are very easy to fix. So let's start with the bottom one first. The focus keyword is not found in the URL. Let's fix that right now. I click over to edit the snippet. I just made that one quick update, and now take a look. That score jumps to 32. As we check that off, let's take a look at some of the other things that need to be updated. It says the focus keyword doesn't appear in the SEO title. And it's correct, it's optimized for this title. The other thing is this keyword's a bit on the long side, so I want to make some adjustments to that as well. Now I've made a quick update to the title and look at the score now, 70. We've just got 10 more points to go. We'll take a look at what Rank Math says, and it says the focus keyword is not found in my SEO meta description. When you go do a search on Google and the results come back and you see text below the link, That text is called the meta description text. And so it's a way for you to put in whatever words you want to encourage someone who's reading that to click to your site. In the absence of putting that text in there manually, Google will use something on your page, usually the first couple of sentences. It's an easy fix. I'm just going to add the word SaaS right in front of it. My score has gone up just a point and I've cleared all of the basic SEO. Now let's move on to some of the other parts of it. It's showing that I need to add an image. And then also some links. These are the easiest things to do. Add images, add links. Watch. In WordPress, I go over to add some images just by dropping them in. I created these using Canva. Very easy tool to use. I created the blog post image in landscape format and then a bunch of square images. Now you can see this took just a couple of minutes. You can get some stock photos right from Canva and make any small updates that you'd like. I added a few elements here and added a logo. These images are now ready to add. The other thing you'll notice is I've titled the images something that is related to the article. These are the keywords that I want to get found on. So what I'm really doing is I'm optimizing the images for the keywords as well. What I'll do in WordPress, you have a simple place you can put that in, and I want to make sure that my main image, my featured image, includes that keyword that I want to optimize on. I set that now as my featured image. You can see the score is starting to inch up. Now you can see here I've added a handful of images and the score is, is starting to go up a lot. Now it's at 79, very close to where I need it to be. What I haven't done yet is add links. I mentioned one of my companies and I, that company was acquired by a publicly traded company. So I just want to link to the stock symbol that Google has. I've actually made some updates to the text because as I'd mentioned, you probably need to edit the text a little bit. It's not going to be 100% ready to go right out of the box, but But again, it's a lot easier to edit than it is to write from scratch. I'm going to now stick in a link just by adding this external link. Look what it did to the score. It's already jumped to 85. Next thing I'm going to do is add an internal link, and that's to an article that is already on my website because it's important to do both external links that go to outside websites and internal links. So now I've inserted an internal link and you can see that score has jumped to 90. This is a well-optimized article and all I had to do was add images, couple of links. I want to make this stand out a little bit because I think this particular link might get lost. I'm going to put a background color behind it. And so now it just stands out a little bit more when someone's reading it. At the very bottom of the article, I'd like to put in an author link. The reason I like doing this is because it adds credibility in Google's eyes and Google can actually see who the author was. And now this is fully ready to go. Now the article should have a pretty good chance of getting ranked for these keywords. Now remember, with your content, you also got social media posts, so you can go back and grab these and use that content to make infographics, carousels, anything that you'd like. And that's how quickly you can take content that's generated from Make Media, put that little SEO fairy dust on it, and it will help you get ranked a lot faster. Main thing, just add images and links.
