Craftsmen build solid, self-contained artifacts. Artists find unseen connections between existing things and rearrange them to unlock value. The real work is seeing what others miss and knowing when to move.

Craftsmen live in the nodes and artists live in the edges. There's an idea in graph theory of nodes and edges where like a lot of what we're doing is we're connecting these nodes together and every connection is something we call an edge, right? So you can think of the arrows as the edges and the boxes are the nodes. And a lot of craftsmanship I think is making really good boxes, making individual things that are going to work even if what you're doing is assembling them from other pieces. You know, what you're doing is creating an artifact. The thing that makes someone an artist I think or makes them an entrepreneur, people who are reallocating resources, those are the people who notice connections and create and can then execute on connections that were not necessarily seen previously. And that's going to be taking nodes that were there and moving them together in very different ways. Those nodes could be ideas, those nodes could be code, those nodes could be, you know, actual physical resources. But really what you're looking for are connections. How can you look at the world in a somewhat different way? How can you arrange it in a different way that's going to unlock significantly more value and that might work today in a way it did not work yesterday? Time is your advantage too.
