A product runs inside ChatGPT. The speaker defines what counts as a ChatGPT app: not a chatbot with a good prompt, not OpenAI's earlier custom GPTs. The term needs a clear boundary.

What we are talking about is about a product that runs inside the chat, inside ChatGPT. Well, I think one clarification that is worth making is what do we mean by ChatGPT apps? Because even today, we see a lot of different definitions, or when you search for ChatGPT apps, different things come up. So when we say, and when we talk today about ChatGPT apps, we're not talking about chatbots with clever prompts. We're not talking about custom GPTs, which was a previous kind of venture from OpenAI.
