AI and no-code tools won't replace coding because real advantage comes from understanding complex system architecture. Learn to design and manage intricate systems rather than chase specific tools, and you'll use AI more effectively than people who just know syntax.

Embrace complexity. There's been a lot of talk lately about AI making coding or programming obsolete, as well as no-code maybe making those same disciplines obsolete and people get on their teams and whatever. But what I find is that lots of people can write a line of code. They can express themselves there and get AI to basically do this simple stuff. Where AI falls down and where frankly a lot of visionaries— is that thinking about how complex systems operate. I think we're going to find as we go ahead here, people who are able to keep complexity in their heads and manage complexity are going to have a whole lot more competitive advantage because they're making use of all of these great tools to express that complexity in the form of stable and repeatable systems. So if you're trying to figure out where your career should be focused, Whether it should be code or no-code or AI, focus on complexity. What are the higher-order ideas that you could hold in your head?
