A founder used no-code tools to build a logistics app for film and event production crews. The real advantage wasn't the platform itself, but his deep knowledge of how crews are sourced, scheduled, and paid globally. Domain expertise plus no-code tooling turns specialized knowledge into a product competitors can't easily copy.

No-code is best when it's weird. I was just talking to a gent who's building a business on top of a no-code platform. And the no-code platform is really table stakes. The fact that he knows how to use a no-code platform is fine. But what's really important is he understands the domain he's in. In his case, he's like in the film production and event production industry. And he is making a super, super cool app. I'm looking forward to talking about it in another video that is all about Helping people with logistics and with the scheduling for getting the right crews in place. Because when you have a movie or you have an event, you're like pulling stringers from all over the world and then you send them all back and you want the best people in the world, but they're not going to be longtime employees. And so how do you pull them together? How do they then go off to their next thing and how they do it in a way that's continuing to be profitable and organized both for them and for the event? This is a tremendous challenge that requires deep understanding of how that business works. Bringing in some no-code allows them to take expertise and turn it into a tool.
