The exploration-exploitation trade-off isn't a choice between two modes. Stay in constant exploration, and promising ideas naturally surface as opportunities worth building systems around and monetizing. Exploration fuels the pipeline that makes exploitation possible.

Explore to exploit. You know, people sometimes talk about like whether they're in exploration mode or exploitation mode as regards their business or what they're doing with a given project. Are they trying to discover how to do it? Are they trying to learn new things? Are they trying to make this work in the market? And what I have found is that the best way to really get into the good exploit mode is to keep on exploring. Say that you are at the vanguard, the intellectual vanguard of what doing. And you keep looking for new ideas. As you do that, you will find that the old ones that you have been putting somewhat into production, sort of semi-exploratory basis, get some bite to them. You are able to have the perspective to see that they have some bite. And then that allows you to start putting new pieces on the board, right? To decide that these are things you're going to follow up on and that you'll be able to make more money on them because that lets you make a repeatable system that doesn't have to be as interesting as your exploratory. So you can explore to explore.
