ChatGPT blocks users during long-running processes. The fix: a button that appears when the task finishes, triggering a callback so the conversation resumes without waiting. It's a workaround for how the model handles extended operations.
But that's gonna take a couple minutes, like what's going on here, right? That just took way too long. That's encouraging me to pay attention to that even though it's saying, hey, and there's, there's some other stuff going on here. And then, and then what I'd love to see on this is a button that appears at the end when it's finished with its process, which then does a tool call back into the chat. So the chat will continue, right? So that, that way it becomes sort of a, a human in the loop, but non-blocking. The, which is, it, it's just tricky because it's a longer running process and that's not something that ChatGPT was designed to deal with.
