Tech and service companies often keep old offers around longer than they should. Legacy pricing creates support headaches, confuses customers, and locks you into rates that don't match what you're actually selling now. Deprecate them: tell existing customers, stop selling to new ones, and focus on offers that actually make money.

Get rid of old offers. I've run into a couple situations with tech companies that I admire and a couple that I have advised where they've gotten in trouble because someone's making use of one of their old offers, something they didn't really want to have to maintain anymore. Then all of a sudden it's coming through, it's becoming a significant support issue or customer satisfaction issue or what have you, and the client's willingness to pay looks like what the original offer was, not what the current price point and value proposition of the system is. So the The solution to that is really to deprecate your offers, to say, "Hey, we're not doing that anymore." To go back to your customers who may have been paying pretty consistently and say, "We're not gonna do this anymore. We're not gonna do this for others," or whatever. Maintaining that portfolio of offers you're going to have, this is true for both service professionals and product companies, is going to allow you to keep your resources focused on the parts of the business that generate really outsized value for your customers and create referenceability, good profits.
