How to raise your prices. Sometimes I get the question like, how should I price my offering? How should I price my service, my whatever it is? And my take on this is that particularly early on, and frankly even later as you keep growing, you'll find this tactic works. What you want to do is collect not so much income as collect wins. And that means you want to focus on being able to have a victory that you're then able to turn around and show the market and say, hey, look at how much more valuable, how much more proven I am today than I was yesterday or last week or last month. What all this means, I look for short engagements, where I'm going to go in and make a big difference for the client, and then be done. That doesn't mean you can't do another engagement with the client. That doesn't mean the relationship has to end, but the engagement should end, you should have that win. And then from there, it's like, okay, now that I'm more valuable in the market, I can raise my rates. So I don't worry about what rate you're going to charge today, charge, you know, kind of whatever you think the market will bear. It's okay even to go too low, but charge something, but then keep raising your rates as you prove and collect those wins.
