A framework of four phases: learn, experiment, build, teach. Keep projects in all four stages at once. Progress in one phase fuels the others, creating momentum that speeds up everything.
Chapters
Learn, experiment, build, teach all at the same time. I have talked before about the framework I use for my development, which is learn, experiment, build, teach. Where I'll have projects that are in each of those four phases or domains I'm looking to gain a better understanding of or make progress on. And they'll have those four things. I usually move up that scale. Sometimes I'm just skipping. But what I find is most valuable is if I have a portfolio of all four of those at the same time. And if I am making progress on all 4 of those, if not exactly at the same time, but in the course of the same day, the energy that you get from one feeds the needs of the other. The insights you get from one unlocks issues in the other. The confidence you get from the one increases your ability to ship with the other. Do all 4 of these at the same time and you will find yourself in a wheel of progress, just as I have.
