Lovable skips a visual builder despite the funding and engineering resources to build one. A visual interface would constrain the AI's ability to generate code freely, so the company chose unlimited AI output over user-friendly controls.

I also do think, if you think about it, what stops Lovable on adding a Webflow, Nordcraft, WeWeb-like interface on top of it? They definitely have the funding. They definitely have the engineering resources more than any other no-code tool out there. What's stopping them? The fact is that they don't want it right now is probably because they see it as a limitation to their goal that they're trying to accomplish because they know The moment we add too much of a visual interface to it, it's going to limit what the AI can output and it's going to put the user in boundaries, right? The only way you can get visual control in a development interface is by putting the users in boundaries because you can only do this but you can't do that, right? That gives you visual control.
