Market by previewing you. If you're in the business of providing remote consulting, that's going to be like over a rectangle, like the video you're watching right now, except maybe turned sideways. You would actually be really well served by marketing using video, video that shows you, because that gives an idea of what the experience will be like of having conversation with you. They're like, hey, I want more of that. I want more than just these 3 minutes. Great, then that's how they can buy an hour by having consulting time with you. That is where we find the greatest value to be. If you're going to be producing reports for them, produce writing that's going to give them an idea, like what your writing is like. If it's going to be like asynchronous work, show them things that you've built, and that's going to be the way they really experience working with you, what those task reports look like as well. Give them that preview, do it as part of your content marketing, and you'll find that it much more smoothly prepares people to work with you and performs a better job of getting customers who are ready to say, yes, let's work.
