The best time to plant a tree, the adage goes, is 20 years ago. And the second best time is today. I talked to a bunch of people who are feeling behind the eight ball because they haven't done things that they should have done a while ago. They are late to the market, that whatever. And these things can be true, but the second best alternative to having started before when perhaps you feel like you should have is simply to start today. Give yourself forgiveness. Say, yeah, sure, I didn't do this thing before, but let's do it now. You'll find that so many people just never get off the mark as a result of not having started back when they thought they should have started, which, because it was in the past, is never actually going to happen. Instead, start today. What is the thing that you need to do to move your business? What's the hard thing? How do you get out from behind your desk, either virtually via Zoom meetings or even better in person, going to meetups, going to meet with clients? How can you get out into the world and plant your tree?
