As AI gets better at finding and synthesizing information, the real skill becomes asking better questions. The speaker argues that AI isn't creative on its own, it just amplifies what you ask it. The more you question, the sharper you get at pulling out what actually matters.

In the era of deep research, asking questions becomes more important than having answers. This requires actually even more research, requires even more study, because the patterns of mind required to be able to ask interesting questions that penetrate the issue to figure out what really matters will get more and more leverage as you're able to feed them into systems that can then do research, that can then, you know, go query the web or whatever. But if you don't start with what you want to know or the idea you're looking to expand, it has nowhere to go. No, because advanced technology, at least as of this writing, is not intrinsically creative. It is a way to expand an idea from maybe you're small to something larger through bringing in other knowledge. But it is only as good as the questions you can ask. Get in the habit of asking questions. Ask questions of people, ask questions of AI, ask questions of Google. The more questions you ask, the more of a habit you build with them, the better you get at it. And that is the asset in the world of AI.
