No-code's real promise isn't building without developers. It's letting business owners keep control of their own projects, learning enough to do the core work themselves instead of hiring experts. The power is in who owns it, not the technology.

The promise of no-code is who you hire, or at this point, don't have to hire. I often see, you know, no-code consultants who are bragging about, hey, look at this thing that got built in 2 months and they didn't have to write a single line of code. And that thing is impressive. The 2 months is impressive. They didn't write a single line of code. I don't care. This is like what they miss about like AI versus really development tools or whatever. This is the idea that like not writing a line of code is what matters. What matters is not having to hire an expert to do the development. For you. It is about the ownership of the project. And when you can do it, when like what you're going to do is hire maybe someone to help you learn, right? Someone to help get you over the top, but not doing the core of it. You don't need to hire for that. That's what the tool is going to allow you to own. That is where the real promise of no-code is. It's not about being a what of the visual development. It's not a how of not writing code. It's the who, and the who is you.
