Product-market fit is outdated. Most businesses are creator businesses where sales depend on the founder's reputation and trust, not product fit. Success means building personal brand trust in a specific market with a specific need, then selling them whatever solution you create.

There's no such thing as product-market fit. I am now pretty convinced that most businesses are really creator businesses. They are going out there and the, the bit of sale they're going to be able to make is going to be based on the personal reputation, the personal brand of the founder, of the creator, of the inventor. And that's going to mean that what really matters isn't so much like, is this the right product for the market? Are you the trusted person for this problem, for the solution? And for this market. When you are at the intersect of those 3 things, when you are the trusted person, they'll buy what you build. And then it's your judgment of like what's going to be the best solution for that, that you can provide to them, and then they will want to purchase that from you. It also tells you what the limits of your market is going to be. It's going to be how much you can accelerate your personal brand. Gary Vaynerchuk has great resources in this regard, but it's only going to be when people trust you that they're going to buy your product. It's not product-market fit. It's going to be creator-market. It's going to be creator-need-market. And then of course, creator- product market.
