Think like an investor. I think a lot of entrepreneurs, particularly ones who are more indie hacker, think of it as kind of like a job plus, right? They're thinking of the risk factors in terms of being able to support their income that's going to support their lifestyle, and where is the next bit of money to come from. And don't get me wrong, like, thinking about scarcity is a helpful thing, but really you need to think like an investor. And investors don't think in terms of income flows, they think in terms of assets. What are the assets you have? And how can you apply them to the market where they give you strength against weakness. If you think like an investor, you will think in terms of those assets, and you will think about how you can get better returns on those assets. That causes you to maybe stop doing things the way that you were doing them. The job is not to defend. The job is not to say, "Okay, how can I keep on doing what I was doing and not be bothered too much and sort of keep those flows coming in?" The question is, where is the market going, and how can you lead it there, right? If you can be that, then you will have business that continues to create wonderful returns.
