Three reasons no-code matters now: the tooling ecosystem has matured with cheap, quality options; software runs every business process, so customization is competitive advantage; and a generation raised on smartphones now leads companies and expects app solutions for everything.

There are 3 reasons why no-code is important in 2024 in a way that might not have been 5 or 10 years ago. They are basically the quality of the tooling, the integration of systems, and the demographic shift in the employee base. The quality of the tooling is so much better than it was 5 or 10 years ago. Instead of only having a couple of vendors who are doing this job well, you now have dozens. This is driving down the cost and driving up your ability to, for a relatively low investment, be able to make whatever you want to make happen. The second is going to be the integration of software into visualization. Marc Andreessen once said that software is eating the world. Now it's done it. And that means your business is much more tied into software, which means there's much more leverage through getting more customization of your software to work with exactly the way it makes your business special. And the third is demographic shift. The iPhone is now old enough to drive a car. People who have come up in their careers, who are now at the peak of their careers, have experienced technology and they believe there should be an app for that.
