Crushing Creatives & Copy ™

Creative quality now matters more than targeting in paid ads. Hook viewers in the first three seconds with video and captions, then test at least three video variations paired with short, medium, and long copy. Research competitor ads, use sensory storytelling, and lean on AI prompts to generate ideas faster.
Welcome to the paid ads advantage. We are on module seven. Today. We're talking about crushing creative and copy. So the why on this one is we are going to 2025, 2026. Creative will be the most important part of digital advertising. So you have to get the creative right. Creative cannot suck, okay? Most important part, creative videos, images, okay? That can't be bad, can't be low quality. With the algorithms becoming more and more automated in terms of who you're targeting and optimization, creative is the most important part of this, okay? It's what stops the scroll. It captures attention, it drives action and in crowded spaces. So there's eight point whatever billion people in the world right now is more people all the time, which means we are fighting for attention at all times. And how you capture attention is with your creative, okay? We want to have creative that was rooted in storytelling. Humans like story, okay? And emotion. And that's going to determine the success. So before we even get into this, how you can dominate on ads is just find people that are dominating on ads and do what they do. So click the link, search it. Jump on here. All ads. I'm gonna search business coach. I'm gonna see what comes up and I'm gonna run through this with you right now. So some fucking terrible ads here. Okay? So four hours go started four hours ago. So you don't you want to see some stuff that's been running for a long time? That's how you're going to know it is good. So I can scroll down. I'm going to get to the bottom. I'm going to see what's been running for a while. Customers on command. 30th of November still, like everything's very recent. So you can go down below and find out stuff that's been running for a while. That's going to be a good indication of stuff that's really good. But you can see what people are doing here. And there's a lot of mud in this as well. Okay? So you can go for your area, you can go for wherever it is. You can see what people are doing. So there's a lot of talking heads here for business coaching. This guy's talking. So Mindvalley is a big company. They're probably pretty good ads in terms of business coaching. So you can check this out. But like the number one rule with creative and copy is to see what the best are doing. Okay. And you can actually search them. So maybe I'll search. Let's search Hormozy or Mosey. So we'll check out homozy. We'll see what he's doing. I can't even say his name today, so I don't know why Mosey's not coming up. Let's go, mosey. 30th of November. So they're all pretty recent. So look at this. Like, obviously he's one of the goats. But 54 of paid communities made their first dollar online. Quick question, can I get your email address? Because I want to send you a thousand dollars of free stuff, the same free stuff that last month's leader. So you can see it's pretty good visually creative. You don't have to go to this level. Consider he's the best. So it can be a little bit worse than this. But you can go through his stuff and see the kind of level that they're going through. And you can see your competitors as well. So search it, get a good idea. We can start storyboarding. I'm going to show you the rough way of doing that soon. So non negotiables for ad, creative and copy for me. Video is king right now. So captions on. So put captions on. Put them on there. And you can use the captions app. Okay. So once you finished it. Uploading captions app, you can add captions to your video. Grab attention in the first three seconds. Has to be a hook. Okay, so let's go. Let's look at hormozy. Let's find a hook. So he's got some. Quick question. Can I get your email address? Because I want to say so quick question. Can I get your email address? That's a hook. And you're probably thinking, I like this guy. You might be in his warm stack. Yes, you can have my email address. Let's see if we've got any other ones. So hook is. He's wearing a toga. Look at your bank account. Now look at mine. So he's unlocked a safe and we have him holding some money. Okay. Obviously great hook there as well. So common hooks, like people, they like slap the camera. They have like a crazy color. It'd be them wearing something. They would be saying something slightly controversial. So you can research some hooks. High quality visuals are a must. Okay. Do not skimp on this. Do not make your video and creative look homeless. Okay, that is not good. Combine visual and verbal hooks. So some ones are thrown paper. I've said, do you want to get 400 leads? You, you know, like. So I've done the paper and I've did the 400 leads at the same Time. And that's combining both, which is like a double whammy. Okay. Craft curiosity based headlines or questions. So we'll go to the homozy one. 54% of paid communities made their first dollar online. Ready to see how start for free. Okay. Pretty good hook there. Focus on the ad, focus the ad on the next step. So encourage your audience to move forward with the ad. So you can say that in the cta. You can say the stick start. See, Hormozy said, can I get your email address and I'll send you whatever it was. Okay. That's the next step. Check out what's already working. So business coach weight loss diet. Oh man, that's going to be bad. Let's, let's talk. Let's see weight loss, it's going to be like some chaos in here. All right, 30 day challenge. That's a good name. 30 day challenge. It's already like getting people in the frame that they're going to be doing a challenge. But yeah, that's, that's, that's all right. I don't mind the, the image, but this, that stuff's real bad. Like look how bad this is to obviously these are just all launched, but whoever these ads managers are need to get fired. This is terrible. But you can look through, you'll see some good stuff, you'll see some bad stuff. Obviously you're going to know with the numbers once you test this stuff. So sometimes ugly ads work, but I don't think it's a good look for your brand. But you can search this and see what's in here. So creative recommendations, as you guys set up your middle of funnel, bottom of funnel, we're going to have three creative options. So images and videos for each campaign. Okay, so if you're running a lead magnet, we need three videos for it. Okay. Not one, not two, three minimum. More would be better because we have more to test. We want three copy variations. So short, medium, long. There's always confusion on this and what I mean by short, medium and long. So I can go back here and we can see if we can get to the hormozy one. So this is short copy. Okay. Short copies, not like 20 sentences. It's like one or two. Medium would be like 10 to 20 sentences, like 200 words. And then long copy is like 400 words. Ish. Okay. So you can use AI and chat GBT to do that as well. Three headline variations. So these are headlines, Free mini course, free download. So three different headline variations. And the variations at the top as well. Ladies, want to hit 10k a month. Want to hit one simple strategy to get your 10 clients for free. So these did really well for us and I'll explain why. So this video is like a walkthrough like on loom. What I'm doing right now, showing the DM script that they will get and then they obviously want the DM script so they opt in their details for it. So it's a loom video. Talking through this, this one was a success. Blueprint free download. So we made it look like an ebook, a download. So it's something of value they can get. You can use some kind of ebook downloader for that. And then these sort of lifestyle images, they work really well as well. So they worked really well. So some examples, obviously I've got the talking heads ones as well. So we'll see where this takes us and what I've put in here for you guys to see. Yeah, so you can click those and then our ads are going to pop up into your scroll. These ad videos, I've showed you them. So we'll go through Steph's ones. You guys can see these. These have worked really well. I think 2%. So real simple hook POV. You find the 10 page PDF that's teaching coaches how to make bank. Coaches making bank. Okay. That's who we serve. She's got the printout. Then we've got page two. She's going through the printout. Okay. And then we've got proof, social proof. Okay, you guys can get creative. I've popped them in here. This one did super well. I got trolled. Reading marketing books like this and wasting your time. 95% of businesses. Are you tired of reading marketing books like this and wasting your time? Drop the book. So audio hook, visual hook. Are you tired of reading Mark? Businesses fail in Australia. Then I've got the printout as well. We did the printout phase. Okay, then in this one, let's see if I've got this. Is your coaching business struggling because you're not getting enough leads? You're not hook. In Australia, 95 of business held due to lack of demand. But it doesn't have to be that way for you. Introducing my paid leads for coaches. I'm going to teach you three funnels. The first one is the follow me. The second one is. So I put that in there as pattern interrupt. So they're gonna be like, oh, this guy fucked it up as well. Okay. So it keeps people engaged on the video. So you've got some options. There we're just filming all this stuff on our phone. Super high quality, really easy to do. Anyone can do it. Everyone's got a phone. Okay, So a couple of examples there. I would encourage you to be creative with. With your creatives. It's in the name. All right. We're into storytelling foundations. I'm not going to go into this, but this is going to help frame out your creatives. Okay. And what you want to get across. So start with the why, the big promise. That's the hook. Okay. Really important. Deliver on the promise. You can go through it. So Steph was delivering on the promise in those videos. She was showing you through the lead magnet. I show you through as well. If you're doing a lead magnet or a workshop or whatever it is, you're going to have to be creative here. You're going to have to settle into this as not something you can rush. The hero's journey, we didn't use it that much, but we. We definitely did build the tension. We don't have to use every part of this storytelling framework. These are just notes to. To help you with this. Hero's Journey does work. So you can depict this and create a whole Hero's Journey video in terms of like. Like Star Wars. So Hero's Journey meets a Jedi, or he meets the person that's going to save him, the guide. He becomes a hero. He defeats evil. That's how every good story is made or developed. It's like heartache. Went through hard stuff. Not getting leads, not getting clients. Then I implemented this thing, and then now I have these results. Okay, so it's a hero's journey and everything you do. So building tension. So get this video. Get 400 leads. Here's the thing. I wonder what he's going to do next. He's ripping this thing on. It's dropped. How's that kind of work? Like, what's happening there? Know your audience. So we've got a framework for that. Tell them what they're going to get. 400 leads. It's got what it's going to do. They download now. I told them what they're going to get. Then we have sensory language. So we have sound, smell, touch, motion, those types of things. We can include that in there. Set the scene and the powerful opening. So the hook is the main thing. If you get that right, you'll be fine with your videos. So I've got some questions here. So what I want you to do when you're creating your videos is I want you to go through this strategy. So what do you want your audience to take away? How can you ensure your message is super clear? How we're going to create the why, how we're going to create the messages. You can go through these, answer these questions. Really good for building out strategies. Then we can get into storyboarding. So storyboarding is essentially putting your ads or your videos or creative. You can do this for organic as well. Works really well for organic is we want to set each of the scenes. Okay. Without going into like film school. I'm not going to teach you guys how to like direct videos. But let's say we write the hook here. So we can write the hook in. So you want to say like 1, 400 leads in the next whatever, or you can come up with any other hook. So that's scene one. So what kind of visual depictions would you have here, which you would write below? So how do I do that? Would that be like a close up of me to create suspense or intensity? And then what would the next scene be or the next words that you write? So it's kind of like scripting. So you can script on these lines and then we can change the visual hook. Okay, so for the second scene, like, am I going to throw the pages or am I going to have my dog or am I going to do something crazy with my hands? Like what's kind of happening here and how can we create more visual hooks in this? And this is a storyboarding process. I know this is more of like the next level stuff. And this is probably like a little bit intense on what you thought you were going to do today. But I wanted to give you the process of how we can start to storyboard. So we can do hook on the first one and then we can go to CTA on the sixth one. Okay, so CTA is. Click below to download. Click below to get in my workshop. Click below to access your thing for $7. Like whatever that is. So we've got the first and the last and then what do we need to tell them? So do we need to tell them problems? Do we need to give them the solutions? Like, what are the kind of steps in the storyboarding process? You don't need to use this, but it is recommended. So this is how we make all our organic content hook cta, all the bits in the middle. You can start to play around with how storyboarding would work. I wanted to give you the tools on how to do that. You don't have to do that, but it is worth doing. Next up, I've Got ad prompts here. So long form, copy anything that's orange you'll need to fill in. So you'll paste this into AI or chat gbt. So I'm going to do this one here, so open AI just to show you guys how I would do this. All right, so paste that in. And then we got brand, website, success school that sells product, business coaching, list of value propositions. So Facebook ad coaching. I'm running a campaign. What type of campaign am I running to get 400 leads per week for coaches? Let's see, coaches and consultants. My brand voice is strong, powerful, sharp. All right, let's see what this comes up with. This is short variations here, which is good. So proven frameworks fill your calendar, sales calls, whatever that is. All right, so five variations. Then you can say something like, this could be a short variation. Don't have to use this. I'm just giving you options. If you're not a good copywriter, can you make them 300% longer each? See what it does? So this is just a base foundation, so you could use this for selling different products or whatever that is. I've got tons of variations on here. So we've got long form as well. I've got different types of long form and then I've got short form. You can ask it to create video ideas, like the whole shooting match on this. So I wanted to give you what works, how to find that works, what looks good, my best practices minimum. I wanted to give you AI copywriting frameworks to use, and then I wanted to tell you the foundations of storyboarding, questions to ask yourself, and then how to storyboard for your ads, which I would strongly suggest doing if you want to take it to the next level. Coming into this thing and having shit ads with shit copy and shit creative is just going to do terribly for you and you're going to waste your money. So I would suggest doing this well. And it's going to take a little bit of work to get to this next level, but this is the level that you need to get to if you want to make tons of money online.
