Good evening, Facebook Live. Richmond Dinh here and welcome to the final episode of my Ask the Coach series where I'll be answering your questions live on your questions, on success, on mindset, or any challenges that you have in your life right now. Now, if this is the first time you're jumping on, then in case you don't know, this is the first time you're jumping on. Hi Jo, thanks for jumping on. Thank you for the audio issue before. If this is the first time you're jumping on, in case you don't know, in the last four years I. I've been heavily involved in the coaching space in the personal development industry. I've spent well over $100,000 into my own self education. I've read over 100 books on the topic. I've been to over 30, 40, 50 seminars. Kind of lost track. Now I've been very lucky, very blessed, very honoured to have literally spent time with, I mean spent time with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Tai Lopez, Dean Martini, Scott Harris, Tony Roberts and the likes. Not saying that to impress you, but really to show you that what I've realized that over the last couple of years, I've come through a wealth of knowledge, of wisdom, a lot of lessons, a lot of teachings, not just from my own mentors, but from my own personal experience. And I thought, well, what's the point in knowing all this if you just keep it to yourself? So in the spirit of Christmas, in the spirit of Christmas, I did an Ask the Coach series where you guys get to ask any burning questions you have on success or any challenges you have in your life right now. And I'll be answering them live. So if you're jumping on, please please ask your questions in the comment box below. If this is the second or third time you're jumping on, I want to thank you. Thank you, Jo, for following my. I know you've been following me from day one, so really, really thank you, Jo. So if you've got a question, just please type it in the comment box below for the time being. I do have some questions that people have asked me in private because they couldn't make it to this live. So I'll answer that first. While you guys are getting ready, I'll answer some questions first. So the first question I got was from Roger. Roger asked me that last week. How to be successful at music. How to be successful at music. And Roger, in actual fact, the answer to this question is the same for any question you asked about how to be successful, how to Be successful in property. I think Maria asked me about property just earlier, before this live and how to be successful in business, how to be successful in relationships, how to be successful in your health. The answer to that question is all the same. You have to and you must first of all build the traits and the habits of highly successful people. That is the secret to all success in anything, in anything that you need to do. And over the years of my learnings and teachings and from my own personal mentors, I've realized that it comes down to there's about nine traits and habits that successful people have that make them successful. And that's going to be in the book that I'll be releasing next year. But really, to answer your question, Roger, what I would suggest is this. Actually you gave me a really good idea.
I would suggest that you explore some of the traits and habits that you currently have. We all have them. And what I'm going to do for you right now, Roger, is I'm going to give you a complimentary 20 minute success coaching session where I'm going to explore all the traits and habits that you currently have for success. More importantly, I'll explore the ones that you need to be working on that's going to allow you to make 2018 your best year yet. In actual fact, Roger, you gave me an idea. I'm going to give that away for seven people. Seven people. The first seven people that typed in the word success. Hi Enrico, thank you for jumping on. Type the word success in the comment box below and the first seven people will get a 20 minute coaching session with me where I'll help identify the traits and habits that you currently have for success. But more than that, more importantly, I'll help identify the traits and habits that you need to work on in order for you to make 2018 your best year yet. It's a great question, great question. Thank you, Enrico. Thank you. Joe. Another question I got from Sani, really cool question. Sani asked me. I'm trying to change careers into my true passion. I'm struggling to get my foot in the door because of lack of entry level jobs. They want significant experience, but I don't have experience. Cool, I get that. Sani, you want a job that requires experience, but you don't have experience. How do you get there? Really, really tough situation. All I can say to you is this. I can guarantee that there must, there must, there must be someone that has done what you're trying to achieve before. Because here's the secret to closing the gap from where you are to where you want to be in the shortest possible time. You must learn to model people. Modeling is the secret way to shortcut your success. So you see, we live in this culture, particularly the Asian culture, we live in this culture where people think it's honorable to be self made, that it's okay to do it on your own. But I can tell you from firsthand experience and from what I've learned in the past that the honor is knowing that success is a team sport. Success is a team sport. So Sani, my advice to you is this. Please go out there and ask a question. Find someone that has done it before, whether it's a coach, a mentor, a teacher, advisor, someone that has done it before. And just ask them to show you the way. Because there must be a way. And you can model that. You can model that. You can do that. I know you can. So that's the best advice I can give you about Sani or for anyone really who wants to shortcut their success. Realise that success is a team sport. And the moment you bring people onto your team, the quicker you achieve your outcome, the quicker you'll become successful. Great question, Saini. So guys, if you're jumping on, we've got Enrico on, we've got Jo on, we've got Penny on. Thank you for jumping on. If you've got any questions, just type in the comment box below. Otherwise, I'm just going to keep on going. I'm just going to keep on going. With some of the questions that have been posted to me over the last week or two. I got a really cool question.
What is it? From Vincent. From Vincent and from Van and Bob, very similar questions about how to deal with negative people. Do you cut them out like cancer or do you help them? And how do you get a mindset of being positive? How do you stay positive 100% of the time? First of all, Vincent, how do you deal with negative people? How do you cut them out like cancer? How do you be positive 100% of the time? Look, first of all, it's impossible to be positive 100% of the time. We need our fears, we need our doubts, we need our worries to protect us. I mean, otherwise we wouldn't look left and right when we cross the road, wouldn't wear a seatbelt when we drive, we wouldn't swing between the flags. Fear and doubt and stress and worry is there to protect us when we really, really need it most. So that's a good thing. But sometimes we let it get to us way too much and hinders our success, which I'll quickly talk about in a couple of moments. But how to deal with negative people. Look, my advice to you, Vincent, is you're better than that. You're better than that to spend your time, your focus, your energy on trying to cut out negative people in your life. Because the truth is, they're always going to be there. They've been there in the past, they're there now, they're going to be there in the future to put your constant time and focus and energy to try to cut them out. I don't think that's really going to serve you. Just ask yourself, where else can I better put my time, my focus and my energy, and what else can I be doing with that instead? And I can guarantee if you ask yourself that question over and over and over again over the next week, you'll find a solution which is better going to serve you. But that's all I can say for that. I hope that was useful for you, actually, I hope that was useful. Anyone who is dealing with a lot of negative people in their life right now.
Just rise above it. Just rise above it. And that leads me. Vincent, thank you for jumping on. And that leads me to a really cool question that Avi asked. Vincent, if you've got any questions, just ask away. I'm more than happy to answer it.
A really cool question Avi asked. Avi actually asked me this question after the first series, and I loved it so much that I saved it for this one here because I wanted to save the best for last. And the question was this. Hear me, okay? Hear me, guys. The question was, why do so many people stop dreaming and decide to settle for mediocrity? I'll ask that again. Why do so many people stop dreaming and decide to settle for mediocrity?
Here's the thing about success. Our brains are not wired for success. Our brains are not wired to make us money. Our brains are not wired to make us happy. In fact, our brains are only here to do one thing, and that's to protect us, to keep us safe, to help us survive, to make us feel comfortable and safe and secure into our own little small world so we don't go out there and risk our lives. That's all it's meant to do. So to be successful, to be happy, to make money, to do all those things, you must get that little bit uncomfortable. And so why do people settle for mediocrity? Here's the truth. Because it's safe. Because it's comfortable, because that's what they know because it doesn't involve any risk or challenge or fear or stress or anxiety. And that's the truth of it. And I can tell you right now and hear me now, hear me now. Playing it safe.
Is the quickest way to die.
Playing it safe is the quickest way to die. Here's the reason why. We all have a spirit. We all have a heart. We all have a soul. Whatever you want to call it, that's part of us inside of it that wants to break free to display our greatness, our brilliance to something inside of us that wants to be amazing, that wants to stand out, that wants to shine.
And the moment you decide to play it safe is the moment you kill that side inside of you, that part inside you that just wants to break free and display yourself to the world. And that's why when you play it safe, that is the quickest way you will die. You know, I get it. I get it. Here's the thing. Being uncomfortable, stretching yourself, doing the thing that you fear is scary. There's a lot of stress. There's a lot of doubt. There's a lot of anxiety. There's a lot of worry. I get it. I've been there. I still will experience it. And I know in the future I'll still experience that as well. But anytime you experience fear or stress or worry or anxiety or tension or whatever you want to call it, you're forgetting the most important truth of all. And it's this. It's how brilliant you really are, how amazing you really are. How incredible you really are. Because here's the thing. I can guarantee that if you look back in your life, whether it's last week, last month, last year, the last 10 years, if you really think hard enough, I can promise you that I'm certain that you can think of at least two or three or even a dozen occasions where you've displayed greatness in the past, where you displayed your own brilliance, where you've displayed amazing, outstanding qualities. And anytime you feel fear, doubt, worry or stress or anxiety or overwhelming that, you're forgetting that truth. You're forgetting that truth. You see, over the last three weeks, I've asked you guys, and I've invited you guys to ask your burning questions on success or any challenges you may have in your life right now, any problems you have in your life right now. And I can say with certainty that if you're watching this in the live format, Vince, Joe, Penny and Rico, if you're watching this right now and if you're watching this in the recorded format. I can tell that your biggest problem right now, your biggest problem right now is forgetting how brilliant you really are. Your biggest problem right now is forgetting how amazing you really are. Your biggest problem right now is forgetting how great you really are, how incredible you really are, how outstanding you really are. And if you can remember that truth more often, I promise you 2018 will be your biggest year yet. So always remember the truth, because the truth will set your spirit free, the truth will set your heart free, the truth will set your soul free. Because that's who you're meant to be. Look, I'm going to leave it at that. Guys, I really want to thank you guys for all of you that have been following this series or really have been following my post for the last 12 months. It's been a massive, massive journey. And, you know, I wouldn't be the person I am, I wouldn't be where I am without your support. I really want to thank you for following me on the journey and giving me up your time, because it's a time that you can never, ever get back. I wish you a really, really awesome Christmas. A merry, merry Christmas. A great news. Enjoy time with your family, enjoy time with your friends, enjoy time with yourself. Whatever you need to do, just enjoy life, because life is meant to be fun. Life's a blessing. Enjoy every single moment. We're only here for one very short time and I look forward to seeing you guys in 2018 and look forward to watching you guys come onto my lives again and following my journey too. And I look forward to supporting you and adding more value to your lives. For now, as always, be true, Be you, be brilliant. And I wish you guys an amazing Christmas and amazing start to 2018.
