Richmond Dinh argues that real change starts inside. You can't get better fruit without fixing the soil first, meaning your mindset and beliefs matter more than just changing what you do. He uses the same logic for parenting: you're the soil that shapes what your kids believe about themselves.

If a tree is producing bad fruit, you don't just pull off the fruit and trim the branches. You need to change the soil and give it some more nutrients so it produces the right fruit and then potentially maybe give it some more sunlight. Now what does that mean? It means that if you're not getting results in your business, quite often you may be trying to change your actions or you change the external environment without realizing that you need to change up here, here first. And when you're changing up here, when you change from inside out, that's when you can get better fruit. And this is underrated. Like the whole thing about you want mindset is everything. It is really the most underrated thing, but it's the thing that achieves success more than anything. And if you think about it like if you've got kids or you're a parent, I'm very conscious as to what things I let my kids watch, who they spend time with and more importantly, how we are in front of our kids. Because we know that we are the watering, we are the soil, we are the fertilizer to our kids beliefs. And so it's no different to you as an adult. You need to make sure that what you feed your mind is at most important because that's going to allow you to have amazing fruit.
