Richmond Dinh says money objections aren't about price. They're fear: fear of failing or repeating past disappointment, plus an unspoken rule about touching certain amounts formed during pain. Discounting won't work. Get curious about the fear instead.

There is no money objection. Let me prove it. And you've all heard it before. I can't afford it right now. It's not the right time financially. I'm living week to week and I'm already in debt. And every single time you believe them. But here's what I know that every other sales guru has never even figured out. Every single money objection comes down to two things. Number one, fear. The fear of what it means if they were to borrow the money and it doesn't work. And the fear of being wrong again after being let down before. And number two, a rule that they've quietly made about the money that they said they'll never touch. And this is a rule usually written down in a hard moment that they haven't told you about. And neither of those is a money objection. One is a fear problem, and two is a belief problem. And both of them don't have anything to do with the price of your coaching program. And so you need to stop discounting your offer to fix a problem that isn't about money, but rather start getting curious of what's actually in the way, because that's where the real coaching begins, and that is where the sale becomes inevitable.
