This is a YouTube video titled "Procrastination Is a Lie Your Fear Tells You" created in July 2025. The content is a motivational talk discussing procrastination, using a personal story about physiotherapy after a stroke to illustrate how success requires just a little extra effort beyond the average. The speaker encourages viewers to stop procrastinating by realizing that success is not as difficult as it seems.
Benjamin Franklin said that you may delay but time will not. And so, so many of us, and I've been there before, we procrastinate on the thing we want to do and more often not. It's because we think that the task is bigger than it really is or maybe it's not worth doing. Did you know that being successful, it's not as hard as you think it is. I'll give you an example. My father in law recently had a stroke and they said in the first three months you need as much physio as possible for you to get better. And that's a critical period in those first three months. However, when we assign him to the hospital to look after him, guess what? On the weekends they don't do physio. And we wanted to get a private physio in on the weekends and they wouldn't allow it because of policy. And now we're so frustrated because they're telling us that in the first three months we need to do as much physio, but they don't do it on the weekends and they would not allow us to bring in a private physio to pay for it. Now if there was a hospital which did physio seven days a week and we would go there and pay for it. And what's the lesson here? You actually don't need to do too much more than the average person to become successful. So many people are not willing to do just that little bit extra. If there was a physio that worked seven days a week, they would get way more money and way more success than the average person who thinks Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. And so in order for you to become successful, stop procrastinating, it's not as much work as you think you do, you just need to do a little bit extra than most people and you'll succeed.
