The Energy Hack Nobody Talks About..

Richmond Dinh argues that energy comes from how you frame your day. Shifting from "I have to" to "I get to" creates gratitude and enthusiasm that fuels higher performance. He shows how this reframe works for travel, family time, work, and even client complaints.

Your energy comes from your perception of life. For example, if you feel like you have to do something, that takes away energy from your day. Anything in your day that you feel like you have to do will take energy away from your day, and anything you feel like you get to do gives you energy. And so energy is created from that mindset of saying to yourself, I get to do this, I get to go on stage, I get to wake up early, I get to go to the gym, I get to explore the city, I get to work out with G, I get to have breakfast. Like, when it's It's a simple shift, but the energy changes everything. And so the reason why I don't get jet lag is because when I land, it's like, man, this is crazy that I get to fly like this and I get to go to, like I get to just go straight to the golf course and play around and I get to go to a hotel and I get to hang out with my friends and then get to have a few drinks. Like everything is, I would say the majority of my life right now, my day-to-day life is I get to. I get to see my kids, I get to hug Penny, I get to, I get to, I get to, I get to. But it wasn't like that in the beginning because there was lots of things when you're starting out as a beginner coach or entrepreneur, lots of things you don't want to do and you feel like you have to do it. And you probably have to go through that phase where it's like, man, I don't wanna deal with this client complaint right now, but I have to deal with it. And I wouldn't recommend saying, oh, I get to deal with a client complaint right now. Like some things you don't like, but it's just moving towards that life where you are just truly grateful that you get to do it. And that changes everything.
