10bn government ‘support’ package 🙄 Jeez

In this YouTube rant, Rob (Rob Moore) denounces the UK government's recently announced £10 billion household energy support package, arguing that its timing is a calculated distraction coinciding with the release of the Sue Gray Partygate report. He claims the package is grossly inadequate—£10 billion spread over 70 million households translates to a trivial per‑household amount, especially when Ofgem predicts an average £800 rise in energy bills. Rob highlights that £7 billion of the fund comes from a windfall tax on energy firms, which he paradoxically supports despite his usual opposition to corporate tax grabs, because he sees the firms’ triple‑profit margins as unjust during a cost‑of‑living crisis. He criticises the government for creating the crisis (lockdowns, war spending, inflation) and then “robbing” citizens via higher taxes to fund a modest relief package, framing it as a PR stunt. Throughout, he urges viewers to share the video, speak up, and hold politicians accountable. The rant transitions into a promotion of his own “How to Invest” series on the Rob.team platform—a 7‑part, 10‑hour course aimed at helping people protect their wealth from inflation, government policy, and economic instability. He stresses that only personal financial education and investment can safeguard individuals, not the government, religious figures, or foreign leaders, and provides a call‑to‑action to join his platform for the price of a large coffee.

So the UK government have just announced a £10 billion support package for household energy bills, and I've got a few things to say about this. Hmm, number one, the timing of this news seems absolutely perfect. Why? Because the Gray report is just starting to be revealed of the parties at 10 Downing Street. And then all of a sudden it's disappeared off the BBC homepage. Now look, BBC is not the only news outlet, but no longer on the BBC homepage is the Sue Gray report and the Partygate and the, the outrageous shenanigans that the government got up to in lockdown. Ah, perfect timing! It seems that every time there's a governmental debacle, they bring some new news in which just conveniently brushes everything, oh, under the rug. Brexit, COVID, wars, are all just under the rug with the new news, which seems to give Boris a lifeline. James has said distraction media. Hmm. So I'm going to tell you what the government have just announced, but also, I don't know, look, in fact, look, let me just tell you, and I'd love your thoughts, by the way. So the government have just announced that they are Putting together a £10 billion support package to help with household energy bills. Lovely headline, £10 billion. £10 billion divided by 70 million, that's not a lot. Now initially, get this right, they were going to give people a £200 loan that they had to pay back. Ah, but now it's not a loan. Don't worry, it's not a loan anymore. We're going to give it to you, except get this, the UK's energy regulator Ofgem said the typical household energy bill was set to rise by £800, and the government support package means that we actually don't know what the household energy bill saving is going to be. Could be £200, could even be double. Ah, So energy bills go up £800 because of lockdowns that the government initiated, because of wars that the government have decided to fund, whether it's a support package or not, not the governments are putting billions into the wars. So billions into lockdowns, billions into wars, and there's other factors that create this massive increase in cost of living, inflation. Energy, fuel, food. Oh, but don't worry, the day after the Gray report goes on mainstream media, we'll announce a £10 billion support package. Woo-hoo, look at us! Oh, but by the way, it won't cover even a quarter or a half of the increased costs. Now, apparently, £7 billion of this £10 billion is going to be windfall tax from energy companies. Now look, I'm not a massive fan of tax raids and grabs on corporations and billionaires. Fair tax, yes. Tax raids and tax grabs, no. Because people think, oh, you know, the billionaires and the corporations, they do tax avoidance or evasion. But if the tax is too high, then it kind of pushes them into that corner. So I'm not a massive fan of that. That being said, it is outrageously unfair that energy firms can triple their profits when we're in a fuel crisis. That's outrageously unfair. So I actually am not against a windfall tax. A windfall tax is, you know, a one-off tax on irregular profits, and I don't think that energy and fuel companies should be making triple profits when there's a cost of living crisis. If they're tripling their value, triple your profits, Shell, BP, crack on. But if you're not offering any extra value and there's a massive reduction in supply and a massive increase in prices and people are choosing between heating and eating and you're tripling your profits, that's wrong. So I'm actually kind of for this windfall tax on energy firms, even though I'm not for that kind of thing normally. But here's the thing, 7 of that 10 billion is from windfall tax. Therefore, £3 billion of that £10 billion is going to come from tax revenue. And where does the tax revenue come from? Us. And who caused the increased shortage of fuel and gas and electric and the cost of living crisis? The government. So they're robbing us to give a little bit of it back, and then they're doing this nice PR campaign. I'll tell you what, we'll put you— we'll essentially force your cost of living up 20 to 25% compared to pre-lockdown. We will tax the heck out of you and then we'll give you a few little peanuts back and we'll make it— and it'll make us look really good. And we'll time it when the Gray Report comes out. What a joke! So if you're pissed off like me, I recommend you hit the share button. Now look, I'm not pointing fingers at individuals. Was COVID version 1 difficult? Yes. Can I understand that version 1 lockdown? Yes. But lockdown 2 and soft lockdown 3? No. But here's the, the thing that pisses me off. Do you know— well, you do know— there were thousands of people who couldn't see their dying husband, their dying wife, their dying mothers and fathers, and their dying children in in hospital because of lockdown restrictions. So there are thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of people who lost family members and couldn't spend their final waking moments with them because of lockdown, and yet the UK government were having parties and getting drunk and vomiting and spilling red wine all over 10 Downing Street. What a joke! And do you know what their punishment is? A £50 fine! No! It's wrong, it's wrong, it's wrong. And Boris says, "Oh, I've been humbled." But his job is safe for now and he's not going to resign. How is that right? I'm sorry, it's wrong. I frickin' knew when this Gray Report started that it'll take ages, it'll get put under the rug. Yeah, alright, it'll embarrass them a bit, but it'll just be moved on and something else will take over and the propaganda spin machine will just kick in nicely. It's wrong. But if you don't speak up and I don't speak up, nothing changes, which is why I'm asking you to share this video. Nothing is going to change. Corporation tax has gone up from 19% to 25%. I tell you what is going to change: taxes are going to go up. I tell you what is going to change: businesses are going to shut down. I tell you what is going to change: heating and food and energy is going to go up and up and up. Raw material costs are going to go up and up and up. I tell you what is going to change: recession, depression. This is all going to change, but Boris ain't going to resign, and the government aren't going to stop squandering all the money in the big spin machine. It's wrong, but nothing seems to be able to happen. Like, 19 children got shot dead in a school in America. That is 900, I'm told, school shootings in America. I believe over 200 this year. And yet the gun lobby still exists and nothing is changing. And even the President of the United States doesn't seem to have power or balls to change it. So nothing's freaking changing other than it's getting worse and worse and worse and worse. So it takes people like me and you to speak up, to stand up, and to shout and to scream. And we risk losing business and we risk getting banned or canceled. But fuck it, it's the right thing to do. This wasn't even the video I was going to do this morning. I wanted to inspire you to invest. I've just launched a brand new How to Invest series, 7-part, 10-hour video on my Rob.team platform. That was what I was going to share with you so you can learn, earn, and invest. But I've had to put that on pause because of this bullshit. And it's bullshit. And if you agree with me, hit the share button. And we need to stand up. We put these people into government and power. We need to hold them accountable. It's wrong. It's completely wrong. So if you're just tuning in, please hit the share button. We've got to speak up about this. You know, it's all good news, isn't it? The UK energy bills to be cut by hundreds as part of a £10 billion support package by the the shining knight that is the government. No, that will probably account for a quarter or a third, maybe a half if we're lucky, of our increase in bills, and, and probably not even that. And yeah, £7 billion is windfall tax, but £3 billion is going to come from taxation, it looks like. So we're essentially— we're paying a third of it because of mismanagement. Because over-intervention when it wasn't required and under-intervention when it was. Taxes going up and up and up, businesses getting shut down left, right, and centre. It's wrong, it's really wrong. We're out of it all now, so time to step up, stop this bullshit spin and PR. And the timing of it, just when all this Sue Gray stuff comes out, how is it How can someone stay the leader of our country? I'm not calling for him to resign, but how can the leader of our country stay in power when they were getting pissed and vomiting with parties, monthly it seems, in 10 Downing Street, while there are thousands of people who weren't allowed to spend time with their dying mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters and sons and daughters? How is that right? And then they get a £50 fine. What a joke. Don't fall for this nonsense that the government are going to save us and support us. The government are not going to save you. They're not going to save you at all. Jesus is not going to save you. People have been saying in my, um, lives, this has been predicted in Revelations and Jesus will save you. No, Jesus won't save you. Boris won't save you. President Biden won't save you. The government won't save you. Only you. Can save you. It's wrong. We need to stand up. Hit the share button. Rant over. Right, screw it, I am going to give you the solution. Why should I stop what I do just because the government are mismanaging our country? I've launched this brand new 7-part, 10-hour series. I interview one of the best investors in the UK as well, and we do this series together, and it's all completely as a free add-on once you join rob.team for the cost of a large coffee. So quick summary: UK energy bills are going to be cut by hundreds of pounds as part of a £10 billion support package according to the government who've just announced it in perfect timing, the day after it was starting to get a little bit heated about Partygate. Convenient timing and more spin to let them get away with more and more and more. I don't fall for it. I'm sorry, I don't fall for it. Because if energy bills have gone up an average of £800 according to Ofgem, then £200 or £300 or £400 help is not enough. Not enough. If I gave you £1,000 but took £5,000 off you, would you be happy? No. Would you fall for that? No! But it's almost like the government are like, "Well, you should be grateful, gave you £1,000 even though I took £5,000 off you." It's wrong! So I don't fall for it. You've got to do more, government. You've got to stop breaking your own rules. You've got to stop this nonsense spin. You've got to stop smashing up the taxes. You've got to control this country and manage it better. That's my personal opinion. Not saying I could do a better job, I'm not a politician. But I do my job and they should do theirs. And you do yours. But the government are not going to save you. No one's going to save you. Only you is going to save you. You must learn, earn, and invest and protect yourself from inflation and governments and the system. And the best way you can do that is join rob.team, R-O-B dot T-E-A-M, because you can get the brand new 7-part, 10-hour How to Invest series that starts today to not just sort of survive but thrive through these challenging times, to defeat inflation, protect your money from government eroding its spending power. Do you know the spending power for us is the lowest since the Second World War? Inflation is in double digits. That's like decades record high. It's from every angle. Taxes are going up, inflation is going up, cost of living is going up, interest rates are still artificially low. From every angle. So I'll see you in rob.team. Open a new window and browser, type in rob.tea. And why should we stop what we're doing just because of, um, what the government are getting up to? I'll see you there. Um, let me know your thoughts in the comments. We, we need to keep this discussion going. You need to share this, I believe, because otherwise nothing's going to change. They just keep getting away with it, don't they? They're just all this bad PR and all this like shenanigans. They just keep getting away with it, and it's wrong, and something's got to change. So let me know what you think in the comments, hit the share button, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
