A 12-year-old has just made $6 million in NFTs! WTF, LOL, ROFL, OMG! Now look, I'm going to share this story with you for a few good reasons. Number one is there's so much bad news in the media going on right now, I want to be the purveyor of something positive and inspiring. So if this does warm and inspire you, hit the share button. Number 2, NFTs is this huge new exciting space. Let me know in the comments if you're learning about NFTs. Let me know in the comments if you are looking at getting into NFTs, either as a creator or a consumer/investor. Reason number 3, as you may have heard on the vibe line, the grapevine, I have an NFT in the making. Well, a series of NFTs. Might tip you off about that. And number 4 is there's some great lessons in this story, so I'm going to share it right now. So, um, according to Tom's Guide, a lovely young 12-year-old artist student by the name of Nyla Hayes has created a long neckies series, and she's just made $6 million in Ethereum selling her art as NFTs. I mean, I went to school as an artist. I actually got 100% in GCSE age 15. I was the only person in the UK, according to my tutor, to get 100% at GCSE age 15. Imagine if I could have minted my art as an NFT. Go make some money as a teenager. How great is that? But look, this amazing opportunity now for you and your kids and anyone of any age to be a creator in the creator economy. NFTs, metaverse, cryptocurrencies— really exciting times. So, um, Nyla Hayes, her uncle suggested that she mint some of her art, um, as NFTs on the blockchain chain for two reasons, and I'm going to share those in a moment. But she's made $5.7 million in Ethereum thanks to her NFT artwork. She's also recently created a collection for Time magazine. She's become the Time magazine artist in residence. How cool is that? An NFT is a non-fungible token. It's essentially a contract on the blockchain in the form of art in this instance, or a certificate of authenticity, or a contract, or some other asset in the digital space. And this space is blowing up. Um, it was predicted by, um, someone from the Shark Tank in the US that maybe watch, um, manufacturers— you know, Rolex, they make a Rolex— you have a certificate of authenticity that can get lost, then the watch is worth much less. But what about if the certificate of authenticity was minted on the blockchain? There's many powerful uses for NFTs. So hit the share button. Here's why. Because NFTs, I think, could be a huge new trend for 2022. They're disrupting art, they're disrupting contracts, they're disrupting security, they're disrupting, um, the physical space. Like, for example, you know when you try and exchange on a property, takes months, and you have to exchange contracts, and you have to have, you you know, the, the paper documents, and you have to have it on the land registry, and you need a solicitor, and solicitors go on holiday in August and you can't hear from them for a month. Well, imagine having a smart contract or an NFT-related, um, contract for the exchange and completion of properties. I mean, that could happen simultaneously overnight, literally. Yeah, Magdalena said, I want to go back to the '80s. So do I. I want to go back to— because being a good artist like I was, and mint my art on the blockchain. And I want to make $5.7 million, uh, as a 12-year-old. Anyway, I'm going to share some lessons in this that I think are really useful. Like I said, a bit of a whisper, I'm working on my own NFT series. Brad has just said NFTs will work as event tickets. Exactly. Funny you say that, might be working on some of those myself. So make sure you're following me on whatever channel you're on if you're interested in, you know, exploring this NFT space further. So let me just share the story end to end. 12-year-old Nyla Hayes has made a series of art called Long Neckies, which combines her passion for women with passion for, um, the dinosaurs with the long necks. She's created this hybrid piece of art. Her uncle suggested she mint them as an NFT, and she's made $5.7 million in Ethereum Good on you, young lady. In a world full of bad news, this is great news. Please hit the share button. Let's actually spread some good news for a change. Um, also Time magazine made her an artist in residence, a 12-year-old, because obviously she's combining tech with art and she's young and she is disruptive. Okay, she's also been named in the 2021 Future 50 awards. Which recognizes the 50 most influential people in technology. She said, I was actually at my grandmother's and I just got a new phone and I asked my grandmother, what should I draw? My grandmother said, draw something you love to do. So I love being a female and I love Brontosaurus dinosaur. And I said, well, if I put the two together and start making these girls with long necks and call them long neckies. So a bit like the Apes. Any of you give me a yes in the comments if you've heard of the Apes. You know, and these caricatures that are being NFT'd. She created her own caricature of long-neckies. Female broncosaurus, is it? A brontosaurus. Great. Her uncle advised going the NFT route. Number one, it would enable her artwork to be seen by more people without much upfront cost. And number two, blockchain provides protection on her IP. The Long Neckies concept is about empowerment and being yourself and loving yourself. Wow, what a great story. My Long Neckies stand for diversity and women from all around the world. It's meant to make people comfortable in their own skin, and it's meant to make young girls feel powerful about being themselves. Wow, what a story of a 12-year-old making $5.7 million minting her art as NFTs on the blockchain. Combining two passions: her love for being female and her love for Brontosaurus, the long-necked dinosaur. So why am I sharing this content? Number one, because it's inspiring. We need to stay inspired through 2022 and beyond. There's going to be disruptions, lockdowns, there's going to be all these difficulties and distractions thrown at you by the media and the government. Stay inspired. And I'm telling you, I don't look at this and go, I'm so jealous. I wish I'd made $5.7 million as a 12-year-old. That just inspires me to want to fulfil my own vision and mission. I want to help inspire as many people on this planet to start and scale their business and get better financial knowledge and education. And people like Nyla Hayes, age 12, inspire me greatly. Please hit the share button if you are inspired and you want to inspire others too, and also help me get my mission out. To help millions of people across the world start and scale their business and get better financial knowledge. Okay, so some lessons then from this. Number 1, start now. You're never too young and you're never too old. Hit me up with your age in the comments and don't be shy. Age is but a number. How old are you? Hit me up with your age in the comments. If you're 12 or 92, I was in a theater, I was invited by my friend Jake Wood, who's big famous baddie on EastEnders, and he invited me to his panto. And there was a lady who's 108 years old there, celebrating her birthday. Age is but a number. Start now, get perfect later. Start now, get perfect later. Okay, age is nothing. Start now, get perfect later. The next lesson is turn your passion into your profession. Love what you do and do what you love, like Nyla Hayes did. Now, What an amazing grandmother. Nyla Hayes' grandmother said, just do what you love to do, create work that you love to do. And she combined her love for being a woman with her love for Brontosaurus, and now she's worth $6 million more. She's gonna get a lot of boys in the playground hitting her up. Okay, next lesson is the creator economy is huge. The NFT space is growing exponentially. I might be working on a series of NFTs. Watch this space. Okay, and finally, I said I'd share a gift. So if you could just hit the share button first before I share this gift, let's cover the news feed today in something warm and inspiring. There's been some really bad news in the media right now. Okay, quick summary then, because people tell me they like the summaries, and that is that a 12-year-old called Nyla Hayes has made $6 million, or nearly $6 million, $5.7 million, by minting her art as NFTs. Now, her grandmother said to her when she got her new phone and she was looking to do some drawings as a student artist, her grandmother said, well, why don't you just draw what you love? And she loves women and being a female, and she loves brontosaurus. So she created these long neckies, which are women across the world with with long necks. Her uncle said, why don't you NFT them? You can protect them and you can reach more people. She NFT'd them and she made $5.7 million in Ethereum NFTing them. And then Time magazine made her a resident artist, and she's in the top 50 2021 Future Awards for her work for tech and innovation. How amazing is that? And yes, it all was from her phone. Well, actually, I think she drew and then created an NFT from the drawings. You can see at Tom's Guide some of her images there. Now, the lessons I think are: start now, get perfect later. Age is but a number. Turn your passion into your profession. Keep an eye on the NFT and crypto and metaverse space. Make sure you're following me because I might have some big news for you in the NFT space coming in the next few weeks. And go to robmoore.com/pod and grab all the gifts from me.
